We dont want Jack kicking as many goals this year.
We want others to do the job of our coleman medalist.

In some ways I actually agree with Hardwick on it but we seemed to go to far with it. Vickery showed everyone he can play, we just have to find the right balance. Griffiths also showed good signs in the 1st quarter yesterday. We can build a forward line around those 3 for sure and they are all in their early 20s.

Another thing- he was a brooding sook as a player and wasnt as tough as his mates said.

His worsts calls have been that Jackson and Edwards would be in his teams lol. Now that is indefensible. No excuses, no counter arguments, just plain 100% wrong on that front is Hardwick.

na hardwick is 100% right on that call.
i reckon while jack had a good yr last yr it was overrated by most. he has many areas of his game he needs to improve, making him a more versatile player and giving blokes like vickery and griffiths games closer to goals in positions they are more suited to is looking after the long term and should be done while we are rebuilding.
very short sighted view only looking at the now even blind fred can see the club is not about the now. i could understand the criticism if we were a potential top 4 side and moving jack away from goals cost us a finals spot. but it isnt the case we are a very ordinary bottom 4 side and making our players more versatile and harder to stop is more important than some meaningless win that will enable us to finish 12th or somthing.

you all talk about developing players but wouldnt know it if it hit you in the face.

I get the feeling this loss to GC is the wake up call that most supporters needed. Our list is pathetic and we are screwed in the short term without 10 changes minimun come seasons end.

I agree on this!
We finally have a kid who is not scared to do what comes naturally to him and take the game on! The rest play footy like the next mistake will see them castrated! Jack held no fears and seemingly no mental scars! To try and curb this is to take his natural game away from him!
I know it is a team game but clubs are made up of individuals and individuality should be encouraged so long as it is not detrimental to the team!
