Richmond is holding a special event to thank its loyal members and fans for their support during the 2011 season, a record breaking membership year.
Before the Pounce – proudly supported by Australian Power & Gas will take place at the ME Bank Centre, Punt Road Oval, on Sunday, August 14, from 12pm to 1:30pm, before the Tigers’ final MCG home game for the year, against Sydney.
A highlight of the event is the Australian Power & Gas Kids Clinic, which will run from 12pm-12:30pm.

We've ordered a lot of snags...a whole lot.
Basically its a part of a RFC thank you to our fans, last MCG home game, we're pulling out all the stops and if its successful we will be looking to hold more of these next year now the ME Bank Centre is finally completed. We have nearly the best asset of all footy clubs, Punt Road only 100 metres away from the G and we want to use it more.
-
What about the vegetarian option?

I will be going, but I know of alot of supporters who aint going and had enough of the 2011 season
Most of these supporters are 3121 members too.
Forget about the snags, you should award medals to the supporters who put up with the GARBAGE that has been dished up in 2011
Really , the return for the members is poor., especially the 3121 members
-
word of advice RFC offical, survey your 3121 members and social club members and see how many will be rejoining in 2012.
No doubt they will be memberships, although NOT in these particular categories, which I believe is just a ""money grabbing "' excercise
Really, the social club membership is a farce, club knows that as well

The main pre-match 3121 function this week is at the Social Club. There isn't any lunch at the Social CLub Jack - just finger food instead of the half time food
Usually at the MCG we have two rooms - one for sit down meals and the 2nd for the casual dining (pies etc). Coaches speak in the 2nd room - dont go to the sit down meal room
I wont be in the MCG rooms this week going to the Social CLub pre-match
So I will be honest I am notsure what you've been invited too ;D
-
will have to have a pie then, LOL

Still doesn't work for me Flagman (as I remember the old "Cooking with Ramps" threads :thumbsup) as I just don't like seafood at all

Now doesn't that sum you up completely Dookie. A picture of a couple of dogs going at it plateful of steak and seafood is "champagne comedy food". God help us.
:lol
-
Yes God help you all. :thumbsup
As long as the steak is rare and I mean RARE (still twitching from the slaughter), then its all good.
NOTHING tops a rare steak. :burgereater
-
A rare win would go close..lol
-
As strange as it sounds I actually think we are show this week
Only because it's being played at the MCG
Don't ask me why, just a feeling :-\
-
I think we'll get within 3 goals myself. :gotigers
-
WP you believe the club hasnt chucked it in for this year ,in order to secure better draft picks?
I wish this was the case ,but i have learned to not trust footy clubs and their public utterances
-

Yep I believe that's the case Gigantor
Personally I can think of close to 3.2 million reasons why they haven't and wont chuck it in for this season ;D
Seriously though, I was at a player sponsors function early this week and listening to the CEO and the acting captain (in particular) speak I honestly believe they are striving to win games.
Whether they can is another thing all together obviously
-
agree with WP, think the tiges will win.
Dont know why, just think the swans arent travelling too well , we are no good, flip a coin
-
how many teams have won after travelling to perth this year?
It's always a draining game and for a young side to back up after that and beat the swans, even at the MCG, will be a pretty big effort.
-
I hear you Al and understand the logic behind what you say,but for me anyway its now time for this young group to stand up,and start winning some of these games.Games like milestone games ,or returning from interstate games. This is what builds the character of the team
-
True Al. But Sydney did have a pretty taxing game against the Dons last week.
Its their second game on the road.
-

I saw the port game as a big test of mental strength/character and in the end we failed the test miserably and never really recovered from it.
I agree, it's games like this that will give a good indication of where we are at.
If we do happen to pull off a win it shouldn't be undervalued. It wouldn't be "meaningless", that's for sure.

true. their core of senior players is more solid than ours though. If not for the trip to perth last week i may have had a dabble on the punt.
