This info is from Barrett so take it for what it's worth but he said Daniel Jackson is coming out of contract and there's a fair distance between what the club and player wants.
-
Should be pretty easy to sort out.
Structure a deal where he pays the club a $5000 penalty for every target missed and he will take care of the whole Fighting Tiger Fund, and give us a nest egg for the next 100 years.

Jackson is tough and hard I give him that ... but that is all.
Please walk out Jackson :pray

If the club cannot see this kid is not the way forward then we are in bigger trouble than we all think!
-
Trade if a decent pick is offered by another club. If Tambling was worth a compo pick plus a 4th round pick then Jacko is worth much more than that. Melbourne gained pick 11 for Brock McLean who would be similar to Jacko.
-
LOL just trade him at the end of the year. The club is wasting its time with players like Jackson.
-
He will go I think, he thinks is he better than what he actually is, typical ranga really. ;D
-
I like the phrase "a fair distance" hopefully its about the same as that between Melbourne and Mongolia.

"A fair distance" both in terms of money and years wanted apparently. Mind you Barrett said this about a number of out of contract players last night.
-
Hope the Rat is spot on and Jackson lines up elsewhere next year and we get something decent. Pretty sure Ratboy just makes this poo up though ;D
-
trade him
-
He needs to be de-listed. GWS can pick him up in the rookie draft - he is no better than Daniel Harris just a year or 2 younger.
Not good enough to attract trade interest.
-
Very inflated ego this one!
Call his bluff, RFC!
-
If ya don't like offer
Then CYA

Love this thread.
I'd trade him for a 3rd rounder. Otherwise delist.

-
Stay away GWS!!! >:(*
* :pray please don't stay away, please take him!!
-
Would have to be someone GWS would look at?
A strong bodied type to help protect the kids.
Having said that I would keep him.
:thumbsup

Yeah stay away ;D
The fact that he would be perfect for you and an obvious choice for first captain, you shouldn't even consider it
Stay away....
Trade week and then we'll deal
:rollin :rollin
-
SEN have a radio show for him to do next year, called "'the world of Daniel""
-
So there's a fair distance between him and club is there?
As much as the distance between him and the opponent he tags every week?
I hope not for his sake
-
I know another site where this thread would go down a treat!
-
If I could add anything to the debate id suggest to the club he is worth stuff all :lol
-
Some truly pathetic posts in this thread about a club legend.
-
agree
this man eats spring rolls for breakfast and bleeds out of the ass for this club
sign him up for 3 years
-
Might be a good time to remind you of the terms of service.
-
reece conca's grandmother told me all about the terms of service
hot chilli muscle

Good, rack off!
-
If ever a footballer was to read these sites, I reckon Jacko could be one :shh

how the hell does jackson protect the kids. does he get the opposition tagger no,does he excel at blocking thus create space for our kids no,is he proficient at tagging so our good kids dont have to go head to head with the oppositions best players. no.does he regularly go forward and kick goals no. can he go back and play on a stevie j type forward no.can he lead with ball in hand make good decisions no the opposite.
what does he do to protect our kids except show thom how not to do things. i will say most of this i got from another poster but it says what i want to say.

Trade Jackson to Port Adelaide for John Butcher ;D :thumbsup
-
he signed a small can of fanta for me
hanging in my bar next to my stuffed caro's head
-
The dummy he sold to Shaw in the last quarter was a thing of beauty.
Trade for a 2nd round pick. ;D

Its diabolical trading like that that has gotten us into trouble. Jackson is a deadset leader and a sensational hard nosed player of great stature, surely they'd throw in a 3rd rounder to boot. A 2nd + 3rd rounder should get it home and we'll all be sorry to see him go ;D

you have a stuffed Caro head in your bar, something wrong with you.
-
He watches E.T porn so yes...there is definitely something wrong with gerks. where oh where is old Infamy?
I will back Jackson in to hit 15 targets by foot this week. That includes kicking it to the other team and his mates in the crowd. can he do it???

After being sanctioned elsewhere today I'd like to publically confirm my love and respect for Dan Jackson.

Butcher can play
-
Nice crumb and kick late in the game which resulted in Jack's goal to seal the game but Jacko would be No.1 trade candidate for mine while he has decent trade value. Isn't accountable and doesn't think enough defensively and then add another 6 clangers when using the footy.

agree,
but do we have the balls to do it?
-
Butcher can play
probably why he was a top ten draft pick, and a touted number one ::)
