Demetriou acknowledged the compromised draft would probably lengthen Port Adelaide's rebuild, but said there were also ways around it.
"They're just going to have to do what other clubs have done and start being very clever about trading and who they choose, like Richmond have done," Demetriou said.

we've been clever???..when did this happen..lol
-
Andrew has obviously been out on the drink with Ricky Nixon
-
What clever trading have we done??? Or does Andrew know what we have installed for this trade period?
-
I installed some cool poo on my computer recently. Who knows what the Tigs have in store for us..
Houli was a good trade. Definitely had my doubts but he's getting a lot better with his attack on the footy.

We didn't trade for him - picked him up in the pre-season draft which was even better than trading for him ;D

we got a draft pick for Raines, and a pretty good pick for tambling, which was more that the McCain chip factory was offering.
-
would have to agree with Al.
How we traded away Tambling and got a descent pick was a masterstroke.

Houli was a capital crime against Essendon, dunno why we havn't been taken to the high court on that one LOL. Not only did we get a bloody good player for sweet FA, but we jedi mind tricked em into not taking our pick and then used it to back door them on their choice and a pretty good one at that. Add to that they are giving our beloved Knighter the kind of retirement package he deserves and he always has the option of getting back into coaching if he wishes, gave us a terrific coach who has embraced our club and rebuilding it very nicely indeed. Thanks bombers.

Demetriopoulos - who cares what he thinks really!
-
True, but until we pry his filthy ball scratchers off of the purse strings...I suppose all clubs are under thrall.

Oh yeah. Bargain.

securing grigg and houli was good work...certainly hasnt been their fault we are languishing averaging nearly 50 possies a week between them :shh

Oh please, this is the AFL's way of saying; Well this is the second year in a row we have screwed the Tigers, lets just hope they can get lucky again like they did........um.....well....they haven't yet. But next year when they finish 9th we will screw them again but we will change the rules so Port Power benifit!!!!

Port will benefit by moving to the Adelaide Oval in a few years time.
Right now the AFL will ensure GC17 and GWS18 will have the best kids in the country, hence GWS will have two goes with draft concessions. Works out nicely for them with a supposed shallow draft this year and a super draft next year in line with free agency coming into the mix also.
Me thinks there will be a fair few getting bent over for GWS. :-\

Agree. Dimwit rarely comments without an agenda.
