I know Sydney only has one team. So most Sydney people will say they support the Swans. But come on, how many of them actually really follow AFL and go to there games and buy memberships.
Collingwood gets the biggest crowds and most members. So I would always put them higher then every other team. As much as I dislike them.

Interesting stuff. But what Happened to Carlton?

We are top 4 again in crowds and top 5 in memberships yet we're supposedly bottom 6 in supporters ... yeah right! ::)
Come back in 5 years when we should be regular finalists and this poll will miraculously say our fanbase has doubled ::). Outside the two expansion clubs the AFL sees us as its greatest chance of further expansion :thumbsup. Benny Gale said earlier this year we have around 100k former members out there.

Wouldn't it be great if they all signed up again. Would have to cap it so we can fit in the MCG. No more Etihad home games because we won't fit etc etc.

Exactly tigs. We would tell the AFL and Collo to shove their Docklands home games and have all 11 of our home games at the 'G where we belong :thumbsup.

Let's be honest it is a poll; a Morgan Poll no less ;D
Seriously how many people did they actually sample?
Can't tell me they spoke to millions of folks and found 300k support Richmond
As most pollies will tell ya (expect when they are up in the polls ;D) polls mean very little indeed :rollin

Although federally i think the RFC would be winning the two party preferred poll!

It saddens me that someone got paid to do this..

According to the graph they sampled 7,800 people. So they extrapolated by about a 1000 or more to get the overall figures. In other about 366 people out of the 7,800 said they supported Richmond.
In any case you can show the poll is crap given Richmond would have packed out the 'G tonight rain, hail or shine whereas Geelong and Hawthorn had a large section at the top of the Ponsford empty.
