The Herald-Sun has 60 names that will make up Mike Sheahan's top 50.
Cotch, Lids and Dusty are on the list but no Jack ???.

That sounds bout right
to be fair Jack didnt have a fantastic season
If we were to average it out it would be almost 3 per team, but that wont happen.
There will be 5 from pies and 4 from geelong etc etc
-
Something for Jack to aspire to so he make Mike's list next year ::)
WGAF
Sheahan = :wallywink

3rd highest goalkicker with excellent scoring assists stats shouldn't be sneezed at either. Perhaps not top 20 but would expect him in there somewhere.

equal second actually

Struth Mike grades Lids hard compared to some of those above him
Did Mikle not watch the GF - Leon Davis failed again on the big stage, Bob Murphy had an average season but what a surprise seeing he got AA ahead of Lids, Bock, Gibson :o :o
Pluuuuuuuuuuuhhhhllllleeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz
-
He smokes the old flesh cigar, we all know it, the bloke hasn't got an actual stuffing clue. He just goes off whatever crap buzzes he reads off the kids forums lol
-
Kade Simpson ahead of Deledio! lol!!
Kade is a handy midfielder, but Deledio is miles better and had a miles better year!!
Goddard had a shocker of a year as well. Lucky to be there.
-
Mike's been waxing the dolphin again
-
wow wow wow Fyfe at 31??/ J.Watson missing 6-7 games plus being unfit in another 3-4 still had a better season than Lids? :lol
Simpson, Birchell, Hodge, Goddard Gibbs??????? were all ALL considerably poorer than Lids - give me a stuffing break.

25 for Cotch which isn't too bad but would question why the likes of Fisher, Dal Santo & Scotland are ahead of him. Ditto Goldstein
-
Martin in the top 10?

Agree with you on Fisher and Scotland WP but Dal Santo is fair enough on his year - I thought he was one of the Saints few shining lights this season and his Brownlow finish would seem to back that up.
-
Martin in the top 10?
Martin won't make it. Fair enough too. Once he gains the fitness to sure up his defensive game watch out though.
-
Dusty isn't in the top 50...
----------------------------------

I can't understand how Travis Cloke is a top 10 player. :-\
Popularity contest at its finest.
-
TRAVISTY CLOKE!!! now I seen it all ROFL they trying to fluff him up into Richo status or something? Wankfest !!!
-
Darren Glass is an excellent full back but if the Eagles were not a top 4 side would he have made the top 10. All done to sell a few extra papers. Has less and less credibility as the years pass.
-
Anyone catch Triple M's Hot Breakfast this morning when Sheahan was on talking about this? After Molloy asking why Deledio was so low (he's still filthy since AA and gave Darcy what for over Murphy) and when ever Sheahan tried talking about the players to find in the top 10 Molloy would butt in with calls like "Angus Graham?!?!!!!" it was actually pretty fun. I'm a big Molloy fan. Even bigger champ when he talks up the Tiges. Especially to Eddie tomato.
-
Travis Cloke has had a great year. Kudos to him.
LOL at Enright 11.
People carry on about a guy that is a key forward and been dominant and yet say nothing about a guy that hasnt had a career year playing on the half back line.
Forget the sour grapes BS, Cloke has taken the most contested marks in the league. Good luck to him.
Eff the haters

Eddie Tomato , there is also Eddie Beetroot does anyone remember him trying to defend that uncalled for spray when the played the saints ;D
-
If you spilled the league and started from scratch Cloke would be lucky to be picked in the first 20 picks.
Franklin had a better year than Cloke.
As far as contested marks go, the definition of contest has changed. 5 years ago contested marks were either 1on1 marking jostles or pack marks. You now get supercoach points if you mark a ball where the defender is close enough to you to punch your shoulder. Many times Cloke lead up the field and took a mark on the lead to have the defender punch his shoulder being behind. = Contested Mark.
Contested marks and possessions are a very grey area. No way did Cloke have a record breaking year. Go back to see how many pack marks and contest marks Richo, Loewe, Carey used to take a game. Cloke takes 9 marks a game 2 in a pack and 7 on a lead but deemed as contested because his opponent is behind hm and can't reach the spoil but is close enough to deem a 'contest'.
Its rubbish

Sharp bit of work on his video chat today when someone suggested next time he sees Dusty he will get a severe don't argue.

FOOTY fans have voted Gary Ablett as their top player - Mike Sheahan's second top player in his top 50 list.

Looks like a few Tiger supporters voted as the 'fans' had Cotch at #14, Lids at #16 and Dusty in the top 50 at #42 :thumbsup.

Mike no clue Sheahan owned again.

yeah things have changed indeed, When Richo went heavenward he, had to launch a few defenders with him, dangling off of his stuffing arms, neck, shoulders etc, now that...is a contested mark. Cloke takes one and some prick looked at him sideways and its a contested mark..
