Hard to see any existing AFL club picking Mitch up. Maybe GWS might be interested in Morton as a midsized marking forward. He just hasn't adapted to a midfield role.

One dimensional. Too slow, too streaky.
Another trade that didn't work out.

I actually think he is very talented. The best snap for goal at our club. Can kick clutch goals under pressure. Is a true forward not a mid.

One huge negative though as a forward is his lack of defensive intensity and pressure. This is just so important in footy now.

He will be known as a Kane Pettifer MkII.

Mitch can play.  I don't know why things havn't worked out for him here, he was our leading goal kicker when he was up forward and JR8 was finding his feet.  Must be more going on than we know about.

No owl, he just hasn't had a kick in the last couple of seasons. I thought we'd picked up a beauty in his first two years here

Well he isn't getting on the paddock, the position change hasn't worked or something coz the bloke can play football.

He was poo when he played ones this year man. Dimma hates the way he plays anyway. I actually like the bloke but he's been poor

no arguement, he hasn't come good this year, I just can't understand what it is , the pace of the midfield maybe?  When he is in the forward line, he is pretty bloody handy, he takes good marks, snaps great opportunistic goals...

Mitch can play.

He can kick a nice snap occasionally from the sidelines.

I agree entirely with Dimma's distaste as a player. Very selfish footballer IMO.

And Reiwoldt isnt selfish?  All forwards are selfish, Bartlett was one of our greatest and he was called "Hungry" need I remind people.  There is more to this than being a selfish footballer.  His muscle mass stops him from being a crash and bash mid fielder and the defensive side of his game is poor.  But he is a good kick for goal.

I just think Dimma has fallen out of love with his lack of tackling pressure, in a side without a lot of big heavy hardened bodies he is just another defensive liability that the side doesn't need.

You are both  arguing the same point, just in differing ways.

No interest for him. Do we delist him or try and get him to stay at club?

worst case, u keep him for another year and delist at end of 2012, at least amongst all his flaws there is some serious talent there unlike others on our list

He overrates his own talent. Not good.

yep however i wouldnt be getting rid of him now due to shallow draft - next year is deeper and nowhere near as compromised

When has he overrated his own talent?  I haven't heard him do this.  He may just want to play football and earn a quid and he isn't getting much run time on atm.

The Tigers have thrown up forward Mitch Morton who, like many fringe players on club lists, is yet to draw much interest.

At club level, the expectation is that there will be more interest in moving and purchasing players today now that the 17-year-old trades have been completed.
