Freo is giving its supporters a chance to vote between 2 new theme songs, a reworked version of the current theme song and the keeping current theme song...

1. Freo Freo By Eskimo Joe
2. The Mighty Roar of Freo By Rosco Elliott
3. Reworked Version of Current Song By Kenny Walther
4. Current Song By Kenny Walther

The Eskimo Joe one goes alright.

Might be a good time to redo our song with a modern version.

I heard while Meatloaf was out here we had him working on it ;) It was meant to be launched with the new logo but is running a little behind.......Watch this space ;D ;D

Like the team they are all terrible  :lol. The second one sounds similar to the Gold Coast Suns song.

The reworked version of Freo's old theme song won the vote. So we'll still have to put up with hearing "Freo way to go"  :P


The winner was determined by a ranking system that took into account the total of all four preferences after they had been tallied. In accordance with the methodology of the ranking system, the song that polled the lowest number was declared the winner.

The final results in finishing order, with the lowest tally determining the winner, were:

Freo Way To Go, 16,403; Freo Freo, 19,471; the original club song, 23,178 and The Mighty Roar of Freo, 28,088.

While the ranking method used in the song poll saw Freo Way To Go secure a relatively comfortable win over Eskimo Joe’s song, the result would have been significantly closer on a first-past-the-post basis.

This just goes to show to what lengths some people will go to to avoid change  :wallywink.

Thank god we only have to listen to the Freo theme song once a year as we have the best theme song  :thumbsup.
