Post by: the claw on November 10, 2011, 03:24:48 PM
have to ask are people happy with this situation.
with re signings  these are the few picks we have in the nd. sheesh we could use just 2 nd picks and 1 in the psd.
are we going to play finals next yr.to me this can be the only reason why we would use so few picks poor draft or not.

Whatever the outcome we'll know by the 16th Nov when the 2nd list lodgements are due

I would like to see us go in with another pick though in the Nat Draft and then have the 1 for the PSD

What we need to do though for 2012 IMHO is take a full compliment of rookies

Agreed. I get the feeling they will rookie a bunch of mature agers from the WAFL and SANFL.

Yeah I reckon that would be a reasonable option and smart too seeing you only have to give them 1 year

Given the Club wasn't willing to trade a Jackson, Nahas or even King for another top 25 pick then there's not much else we could expect. If it wasn't for the last minute trade of picks we could have been left with only one pick in the top 50 which would've been pathetic.

The Club is organising itself for a tilt at next year's draft when free agency comes in. So it wants to be in a position to free spots and chase picks next year. At least that's what Craig Cameron said at the fan forum. He also said we were likely to keep hold of our end of first round compo pick so obviously things can change. We do have that 2nd round compo pick up our sleeve though.
