Newy was on 3aw last night with Gerard Healy and Dwayne Russell.

Russell was pumping it up as we wanted to go out and win the NAB Cup this year. Newy just said we plan to play as many blokes who are fit to play across the two games on Friday night. Jack has been involved in full training but as of last night Newy didn't know who was in the squad.

Most of the interview was spent asking Newy about the captaincy and leadership groups in modern footy. Off-field leadership just as important as onfield as you want a strong club culture.

Newy and any present players had left Pettifer's wedding party before any incident occurred [Ed. so it was a media beat up]
