How could he groom vegemite cheeks as a defender?
-
What options does.dimma have?
Astbury not fit. Moore never fit. Mcgaune no hope
Wright and darrou are.18 post not.good enough to play forward.
Edited: No need for that comment. Vilification is vilification >:(

What's Gaspar up to
-
Have to remember he's still only played 23 games.
I'm quick to cross blokes names out, Post I've only crossed out half his name, wouldn't mind seeing him given a good string of games and see if he can play with confidence.
Wouldn't mind seeing him play a Nick Maxwell type role.
-
well done OX. you have found the aswer to our CHB problem...

If only that blind effer Hardwick could see.

It is funny how time heals all wounds... McGaune is not the answer...
Post -> 22 years of age, 195cm , 23 games.
McGaune -> 25, 192cm, 84 not so special games.
-
He's not. Id give post a few more games, but if he doesn't improve vastly on last night his papers are stamped. If mcguane is the only alternative then so be it, for now.
no one else is close to ready.

well were stuffed then
:lol pretty much for the short/medium term
until hopefully either Astbury makes it or Grimes fills out another 6-7 kgs then he'll be big enough to be a genuine CHB. Think hes 194cm so tall enough
-
Post needs confidence & alot more games

Post looked petrified last night and too busy looking at his man and not the ball except when he took that mark.
Sorry but I don't see what match committee sees. Doesn't look like he reads the play at all.
-
hes still young and inexperienced and might still prove to be a good player for us..however i must say last nights game by posty was a shocker...i think carlton singled him out and pumped the ball to his opponent consistantly....

Agree.

so Jackstar, i'd love to hear your opinion on Post's performance last night. And do you think Matty Dea will make it?
xoxoo.
-
Dea has a better chance of making it than post and thats saying something. For the record both are struggling at this level and should probably be playing suburban footy for noble park or something.

Always thought Post was a forward from his under 18 days
Dea definetly not as we have Helbig and Batchelor who would play ahead of him
And don't forget Connors.then again I think I might forget Connors
-
jack could rance play the centre half back role?....i mean its probably robbing peter to save paul, but CHB is just such a key position

Thank you for your unique and understated perspective.
Rance plays FB, and plays it well. Leave him there. We need to develop a CHB or go hard after one in trade week.

IMO Rance is our future CHB once we get a monster FB/someone able to take biggest forward. I interpreted rookie picking both Darrou and Wright, hoping that one might look like working out in 12-24 months, to address this very issue. Big blokes take time. If we can't recruit one straight in then we have to produce our own. I like Rance, but sometimes I reckon he might be a tad undersized. Obviously you can argue saying Hawks don't have a massive backline, but shh and let me generalise :P
Anyone know much about tall back stocks in the VFL? I'm only starting to get more familiar with it now as a workmate plays for the Zebras. After watching last night he's amazed we didn't make an effort on Mohr (GWS. 23y/o B&F from Casey). Not sure of we were interested and wouldn't of mattered since GWS pre-listed him anyway. But still. They waltzed in and plucked him. This goes for other state comps too.
-
Grimes could play CHB but needs to try and mark a few instead of punching all the time
-

So have I......Post........and then added an O........Poo
