WHO IS THE MOST UNDER-RATED PLAYER AT YOUR CLUB
RICHMOND:
Nathan Foley finally got himself right last year, and although the heroics came from Dustin Martin and Trent Cotchin, he played every game and averaged 22 touches. No one realised what a good defender Kel Moore was until he got himself injured.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder?

what a load of crap, he is the most overrated player at the club,
our most underrated player is conca, was by far one of the best first yr players last yr and never really got a mention by most outside rfc
this kid will become our rolls royce
-
The longer Moore is out, the better he gets.
He was better than McGuane, but no world beater.
-
funny thing about moore is just how highly rated he is outside of RFC circles, Im practically stopped in the street with people telling me how good a player Kel moore is, weird i know ::)

Agree on Moore.
Conca is the comer.
-
Conca very underrated
Watch a tape of a game back in 2007.
Gee McGaune has gone backwards big time

Aint that the truth

Conca wasn't playing in 07?
Do you mean Foley?

That's what they were saying about Coghlan in 2007-08. ::)
-
In fairness Coughlan had a B&F under his belt. Kel was our best tall defender from 08 to whenever the stuff he got injured, but he's no world beater. I don't think he'll get back at all unfortunately

I understand Cogs value but you can only play with the 22 available and by the time he was ready to come back we were all questioning on whether he'll find his best which we all kind of knew was beyond him anyway.
I agree with Moore. I think he will retire mid season to let a kid get promotion from the rookie list.
Anyone who has had as many operations as Kel in the last 18-24 months should not be playing AFL.

foley has turned into a weeble
thus he can no longer hit up a teammate by foot over 30m or kick goals
lower end B grader

I'll go as far as trade bait this year to a club whose Premiership window is open and looking to top up.
Lower first round to second round selection and the club would be negligent not to consider it.
Lets say pick 15-36.

Possibly. I'm thinking Sydney more. Him breaking through the centre at a small SCG he'll be kicking from 30 out and we'll all be in meltdown here saying why did we give him up when in the same round Jako will have 11 kicks 4 marks 7 handballs at an efficiency of 25%.

That's why I migrated to this site. The posters here are much more insightful than the sycophants at Big Footy. Foley is overrated, Moore is the same and Conca is the underrated one for me.

Monk, been watching alot of games from the past 2-6 years.( too much spare time on my hands, LOL )
One thing is for certain, we havent improved.
I cant understand why they want to play Riewoldt up the ground.
Its beyond belief :banghead
-
If Rewoldt made a lead the other night then l must have been watching something else cause he was that bad.
People will defend him because his had all these so called operations but l know the real reason why his football stinks & l'm sure you do also. ;D
Edited: been down this road so many times, for legal reason you cannot imply something without any proof (even in jest) :banghead :banghead

I agree with you both regarding Jack's move up the ground. It is not is strength to work in open spaces. He is very creative is close and can create goals from very little. He struggles with the concept of running back with the flight of the ball and generally leading into space. He hasn't the space to outrun a defender. Jack's greatest strength is his reading of the ball, ability to out position and mark in one-on-one duels and of course his set shots. Jack should be left close to goal imo.
-
I can understand they feel he creates goals when he plays up the field, and I have seen him link up well and set up a few in the past, but he does his best work parked in that F50.
Have him move up the ground and chase possesions for 1 or 2 goal assists or . . . .
Park him in F50 and have him kick 4+ every week . . .
I know what I would have him do. :banghead

Spot on.
Foley isn't good enough to be traded - that is over rating him.
-
I must be the only Richmond supporter that rates foley. Other sides rate him a lot higher than his own supporters. Can't believe how pooful ppl think he is :huh

I'm with you, Tony. It gave me a chuckle when I read in another thread that we lack midfield depth, then come here and read that people want to unload a mature and serviceable midfielder.
-
Dwayne, you're starting to act superior to the veterans of OER. I suggest you change your attitude before bad things happen.

I am with you, I rate him, always have.
Not sure why some are happy to bag Foley and leave Edwarts alone... :huh
