i would have thought nahas was in strife to hold his spot, although he has a very good record against Port :shh

If King is available, in King, out Nahas  ;D

But what if the MRP sights Jackson on anything in the first half? Edwards or Webberly? Does Edwards get automatic inclusion or does Webbers based on VFL form?

In King
Out Nahas

Dea couldn't get into the game but I appreciate the extra rotation in our back line. Edwards to play 2s

I'd think King was another week away.

I'd like to see Webberley in for White. Has more potential for impact. Yet the big spaces of AAMI is where White's pace can cause some damage.

Nahas does have a good record against Port at AAMI. Last chance for him has been below par all season.

Give Ellis a rest and bring in Webberley

INS: Webberely

OUTS: Nahas

Even though I believe Dea was extremely disappointing I don't think they (the coaches) will drop him it's like the situation with Jackson why bother suggesting it so he stays  ;D

Only saw one by Houli - for memory it was in the 2nd qtr on the outer wing - he was running to a contest and had some Eagle big bloke can't remember which one (haven't watched the replay) was coming at him; Houli just stopped rather than attacking the footy - happened in just in front of me and have to say it looked bad

about 6 minutes to go in the second 1/4?

houli couldnt quite hang on to the mark with the flight , but didnt take his eyes off the ball. he was stopped in his tracks by a dont argue to the centre of the chest.

what he did do, something he has got better at but is still an issue at times, is he went to ground in trying to win the ball immediately after.

RICHMOND - In the Mix

A feature of Richmond's season has been how little the team has changed from week to week despite the club losing four of its opening five games. The Tigers' hierarchy has clearly approved the team's performances and they're likely to have done so again after the spirited 10-point loss to West Coast. Half-back Matt Dea would be terribly unlucky to be demoted after being injured in his first game back in the senior team. Running playmaker Matt White would also be unlucky after coming on as the substitute during the third quarter. Shane Edwards would be the most likely to replace either if he could pass a fitness test on his injured calf. Jeromey Webberley, who hasn't put a foot wrong in the VFL, would also be a chance.

Title: Jake King to push for selection (RFC)
Post by: one-eyed on May 01, 2012, 07:04:09 PM
Richmond’s ‘pocket rocket’, Jake King, is rated a strong chance to return to the Tigers’ line-up for Sunday’s Round 6 clash with Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium.

Meanwhile, star Tiger midfielder Brett Deledio will be right to continue his run of 98 consecutive games after being involved in a “friendly fire” incident during the Eagles game.

Footy Barometer - Round 6
From: Herald Sun

RICHMOND

INJURED:
Brett Deledio (knee) available
Matt Dea (broken nose) available
Jake King (knee) test
David Astbury (knee) 1 week
Kelvin Moore (hip) indefinite
Brad Helbig (foot) indefinite

ON THE BLOCK: Not many given the Tigers valiant performance against the top-of-the-table Eagles. Matt White has been the sub for a couple of weeks, so with limited game time could head back to Coburg. But his pace has been an asset late in games, while Matt Dea is another fringe player who could make way should Damien Hardwick opt for change.

ON THE CUSP:  Addam Maric failed to hit the scoreboard but his pressure, tackling and work up the ground impressed at Coburg. Angus Graham was good again in the ruck, while Jake King is close to returning from his knee injury.

SAM LANDSBERGER’S FORECAST: It was nealy Tiger Time yesterday but Hardiwck’s side just lacked that tick of self-belief and polish to put away a top side. They simply must respond with a win against the Power this week, even if it is in Adelaide. A 1-4 record is stiff and the Tigers will be ruing their past two losses against the Cats and Eagles after being in both games until the death.

as i've already said, he was stopped by an outstretched opponents hand, not because he chose to. watch the replay from about from about 7 minutes to go in the second 1/4.

Not sure it is that on al but haven't watched the entire replay yet so I can't say 100%,

But the incident I saw he wasnt' stopped by an opponent he stopped & propped on his own before any contact from the opposition.

Will try and watch the rest of the replay this evening

i reckon that incident would have looked bad to a lot of people at the ground. those on the wing would not have seen what happened because the weagle bloke had his back to them and it is hard to pick thing like that up from the other side of the ground.

even on the telly it doesn't look good unless you watch closely
