Didn't look good and Frawley had to be carried off by the trainers.
-
4 weeks - the head is sacrosanct.
-
Frawley's injury was caused by Reiwoldt, not White. White's tackle will very possibly not get mentioned as the replays show him try and bump in the shoulder and that's where he contacts Frawley, albeit high on the shoulder. The resulting rebound from the tackle into Jack's swinging arm is what knocked Frawley out, not White's bump.

Thank gawd for that! Frawleys pain aside.

White is actually likely to be in much more strife for a whack to the midriff of a Melb player in the last quarter (very Jackson-esque). I can't remember the player but he went down holding his stomach like he was winded or something and it didn't look good on the replay.

This thread is an emotional roller-coaster! I'm going.

:lol

The sad reality is yesterday could be Matty's last AFL game if he gets rubbed out. Craig Cameron said on the radio before the game that Whitey was playing for his career.

Luke Tapcott who also went off, me thinks he played like it was his last hurrah - no matter what
Never seen him hurt a fly until yesterday.

Liked Matty's game but unfortunately he is slowing up.
-
We played a bottom 4 team yesterday
Think Matt's last year
-
Matt's going to have a 2 week holiday and unfortunantely for him he's goneski next year.
-
I don't understand why Matty did this.. gets one of very few chances this year and just blows it. The contact was obviously intentional. Thought he would have a cracker and keep a permanent position in the team but wasn't the case >:(
-
watched the incident with frawley and he makes contact with shoulder so should be ok with that one...didnt see the rib tickle on tapscott

-
Nothing to see here. Melbourne players would get knocked over by a fart.

Matty White has copped 3 weeks from the Match Review Panel.
-
"Challenge"

Here's the official MRP report. Whitey copped two reports ....
Matt White, Richmond, has been charged with a Level Two striking offence against Luke Tapscott, Melbourne, during the fourth quarter of the Round 15 match between Richmond and Melbourne, played at the MCG on Saturday July 7, 2012.
In summary, he can accept a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record with an early plea.
Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Melbourne Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record.

Matty didn't have a good day :'(
-
We're running out of players
They way were going we will end up with 9 Posts on a footy field
Carlton will be happy if the last post is selected
You all know my drill
8 posts on a footy field are a plenty

Bye bye Matthew.
-
No mention of Greg White.
Greg plays :cheers
-
Unfortunately this is the end of his career with us. Bumped him in the shoulder :banghead Riewoldt was the one who clipped him on the way down. This has brought Greg's career to a close :banghead Outrageous
-
appalled at this decision, was worthy of two weeks maximum :banghead
-
So what is the deal?? will he missing for 3 games or can he challenge? got confused on SEN when they said everyone had xxx weeks but matt white could accept a reprimand
Surely he cant have the same penalty as Sharrod??
-
A joke - how much did the spear tackle get? :banghead
-
Agree with comments "The sad reality is yesterday could be Matty's last AFL game" It was completely unnecessary to go for bump should have tackled him. Really stupid. Pitty because he was playing okay. Had kicked a couple of goals if you include the disallowed goal.
-
whats amazing that Matty just served a weeks suspension in the VFL for exactly the same thing in the Coburg Collngwood game.
:banghead

2 reports EAA
For the behind the play hit just inside the centre square he's can take a reprimand
For the head high bump on Frawley in the last qtr he's received 3 weeks. From what I can gather the penalty won't change if they challenge.
So in total he faces 3 weeks off
-
Should have gone out in a blaze o' glory and smashed Watts face in, then smashed that goal ump who didn't pay his goal. Then moonwalked off the ground past the bunnies. Ice cold.
All the best Matty
:clapping
-
Clumsy.
Doesn't help things.
-
Once again we are harshly treated by the MRP. That hit shouldn't have been more than 2 weeks absolute maximum. White, who unlike Jackson or King doesn't have many priors, cops the same penalty as Wellingham who breaks Simpson's jaw and leaves him twitching on the ground, and Taylor Walker, who has a rap sheet as long as your arn, is clearly a psychopath, and could have broken Morrises neck.
It could be argued that the MRP points allocating system is riddled with inconsistency. Except the one consistent point that rears its'head time after time is, that if it's a Richmond player that goes up before them, he will be crucufied.

TFT fully endorses this train of thought :thumbsup

I would still describe Matt White as a fringe player however I do wonder if we would still be finals contention had he been availible the past three weeks.
-
Id bring him straight back in at the expense of A.Maric(what a waste of space he is)
Still living off that tackle on Goddard against the Saints!!
-
is a dud and is uncontracted how many are not a lot id say.
needs to go, enough is enough of this type. as such he should not be getting any more games there is now no excuse to not play more kids.
-
But there are no kids left to come in for White or little Maric. Helbig and Arnot are still coming back off injuries.
