Ox [Schwarz variety] hit the nail on the head after the game. We are good hunters so we'll fight hard against the top sides but can't handle being hunted so we cave against the crap sides. Until we get that mental toughness crap losses like tonight will happen.

Even before today with all the outs, we had a habit of playing to the level of our opponents. You can't just pick and choose when you turn up and when you play with intensity. We lack that killer instinct. In sport you should want to destroy and humiliate your opponent when you have the opportunity to do so. If you're 2 goals up then go for 5; 5 goals up go for 10; etc. You don't take your foot off the pedal and try to win with the minimum amount of effort you can get away with. That mental side of the game is next on our development list after we clear out the spuds who can't physcially play full stop at the end of the season. Sadly today we were scraping the bottom of the barrel on our list to put together a 22 and it showed.

Tigeritis hasn't been cured. The club that has mediocrity pumping throughout it's veins.
This issue hasnt been fixed and this shouldve been sorted by now. To rid this club of this virulent disease is by far the MOST important thing that the club must cure.

.... We need a winning culture transfusion.... STAT!

Been crook all week with the lurgy and now feel worse than i have all week.

Thanks a heap RFC

Just one more quick question oh club of mine is the $500k really worth this pain and disrespect that members have had shoved down their throats today?

Just curious

They dont care about the members. They just need us for our money. We are their money machine. They employ themselves on massive money and thats the end of the penny section. They dont care about the supporters. The 19th man, Richmond Roar stuff is just PR to get the supporters to fork out the cash. Every year its the same. Ive said this a thousand times, it takes 40 million to run a club to a small profit, the players only get $8 million that means that $32 million goes elsewhere. The supporters of every AFL club are being ripped off every single year.

Can't be bothered reading all the posts
In a nutshell .we haven't improved
ppppffffttttt. all today has showed is we have no depth. want for experienced  and enough good players with enough games under their belts, it also showed we lacked enough quality all these things were clear as day at the start of the yr.
it has always been patently clear we would struggle when injuries/suspensions etc kicked in.

club has improved enormously in lots of areas both on and off field. the angst only comes from those who have had unrealistic expectations.

hmm did we or did we not lose this fixture last yr. it was never a monty to win this given what has happened the last 3 or 4 weeks.
all of this sudden anger is a bit over the top it just shows how unrealistic peoples expectations have been.

I feel for all supporters

I feel for our families.

Investing time, effort, money, hope into a footy club that whilst improving right now my last point seems very hollow when I could be out with my wife and daughter or playing with my daughter or visiting friends.

Us fans who take the time out of our lives to fit the RFC into it and to only get skata and the annual heartbreaking loss to a much worse on field side than us and then have all the propaganda machines at the RFC coming out to try and resell the hard core message all the fans seem to hear but never get to experience.

I think the RFC needs to take a good hard look at it. 1.5 million over 3 games but the losses in itself have killed our seasons. Not worth the trouble Benny.

You want to make a mark RFC with the 52000 members and reserved seat holders and the fan coterie groups 11 home games in Melbourne at the home of football and no games in Geelong.
That is the starting point. As Kevin Costner was told by Ray Liotta in Field of Dreams "You build it and they will come" there is your start point.

No gimmicks, no 19th man crap we know how passionate we are but this aint 1973 Preliminary Final or Grand Final Day or Windy Hill 74, no FTF and put my name on the banner, why will they read it or will the players ask about rank and file supporter X and how he cam to make his or her contribution, no fan this or fan that. Make our fixture fan friendly for a start and start filling the holes in the list and making the tough on field decisions and ensure the duds who have failed the club over and over again and envelop the failure when they play never play again.

Why recruit a draftee if he will be a project for two years and then he may get a go. DOn't play these Graham types and draft kids who will play senior footy and will be able to step up. Give the kids the confidence and the experience. Would rather fail trying than fail hearing so and so is in Coburg 2nds so and so is at Coburs 1sts so and so is buying hamburgers from the RElton Roberts caravan just play the kids and keep the failures at Coburg until their time runs out. We did it with Jordy in 2010.

I do not want to see Graham in an RFC jumper again. I know he is contracted till 2013 but I do not even want to see him in the 2013 team poster. Enough of these nothing players list cloggers who have failed the club over and over again.

15-20+ year members deserve better than this.

junk...served up pure junk...thought we'd done the "hard work" (with one decent quarter) and switched off again...too many passengers (apologies to Lids and Cotchy & Co who busted/regularly bust their guts)...

you need a squad of 25 - 30 to really push for finals and we once again showed that we lack depth & quality

unfortunately means that we will now have to go through another couple of months of debating about who we will and who we should delist....still too many spuds and cupcakes on the list....

I'm not going to change the title of the thread. The issue is some leading people at Richmond have been there a long time now and the results are always the same when the seasons on the line.

I am currently sitting in my hotel room and thinking why did I bother to fly up here today to witness a pathetic loss like that at a sub standard AFL venue?

Been crook all week with the lurgy and now feel worse than i have all week.

Thanks a heap RFC

Just one more quick question oh club of mine is the $500k really worth this pain and disrespect that members have had shoved down their throats today?Just curious
No it is not. Winning will bring the bucks and in greater amounts than selling home games. We should beat teams no matter where we play but lets face it, its easier for us to win Melbourne. Also, to fly a bloke to Cairns with a suspect calf seems ridiculus to me. Also taking Ivan up for a rest?

Even funnier was that Jake King .Jackson and Martin were running along the foreshore every morning
You know where at least 2 of them should of been
Jackson and Martin should of been running the half marathon around Melbourne this morning busting there guts as punishment

Get in Neil Balme there first of all with his experience.I dont have problem with Francis Jackson.I still think we could use Malthouse in  a role. Both of these guys have huge success and tiger champions we need that.

that 400k is a Gross figure GR

Lets remove cost of flying all the players, staff up to cairns

Lets remove the fact we could've won the game in melb, thus increasing membership and a shot at finals.

Dont be deceived by the gross figure people, its far less when you really think about it

Balme should come in for Cameron. We need to get in a new national recruiting manager with a different philosophy and someone with some runs on the board. The forward line coach - dont know who it is but should come under serious question because at least 3 of the forwards should have been in defensive 50 with 25 seconds to go. We need a massive cleanout I reckon. Also Houli and Grigg have gone back to being substandard footballers. They should be dropped next week.

Well if the club doesnt care about keeping these people happy eventually the pool will dry up and their going to be in shitloads of trouble. Ive always thought that its better to keep what you have happy and to chase the extras rather than treat the your current backers like crap and always be on the lookout for newbies. Maybe Im wrong on that, I dont know.

At least 2 of Collingwoods suspensions were AFL enforced through gambling
Another was a car accident
I aware of several issues that they have kept in house and dealt from within

Unfair and irrelevant comparison Jack.  Resurfacing a prepared stadium with purpose grown turf in pre-determined sectors all in a week is entirely reasonable, if not expensive, and is funded entirely by the stadium.  Punt Road needs to be rebuilt - oval reshaped, base dug out and rebuilt, drainage installed, subsurface reshaped and compacted, top soil laid, shaped and lasered, and that will take a shedload of time and money just to get to a stage of being ready for the turf to be laid.  If you want an 'instant' outcome re: drop-in turf a la Etihad then you pay a premium on top of that as opposed to the 'traditional' way of laying strips and letting it bed, and the club would have to foot the bill for the whole thing.  Doing it the way the are in at the timeframe they are makes the most sense when you consider all the factors involved because I just know how the great unwashed would react if Cotchin did his ACL as a result of a substandard surface at Punt Road, all because we rushed the revamp.

Wellingham, Didak, both the Shaws and Swan have been dealt with on more than one occasion. Reece was traded out the others have suffered club suspensions and were put on notice. How is this different to what we have done with Martin and Conners?

How about when we nearly knocked hawks over in 2010 what do you say then

We always do well against these 2. So what
