Any reason why that gooley eyed host said the crowd was pro Norf at this granny?

I find that very hard to believe...

Lmao don't know why he would say that it was a pro Norf crowd.. I mean we were the biggest club in the land back then.

It was only North's second ever GF (first was in 1950) and they were the only club back then that had never won a premiership so every non-Richmond fan was barracking for North that day. As Hafey said that year it was "Us vs the world". After the Windy Hill brawl even the VFL hated us and screwed us by giving us the worst recruiting zones  :banghead.

Sadly Royce's knees didn't hold up much longer. A champion team and a team of champions.

It's hard to believe now that Hafey would be gone within two years of those back-to-back flags. Two members of the board back then have a lot to answer for. The first of many moronic decisions to come  :banghead.

The first Grand Final that was in colour and the last year we wore the narrower yellow sash. We widened it the following year for colour tv. We also trialed yellow shorts but that didn't last long lol.

Nearly everyone on the board wanted Hafey to continue but he cracked it because two dicks didn't want him to. Why didn't Tommy just stick with us? Not everyone is a fan of their clubs coach.

Because one of the two who didn't want him was Graham Richmond. Sad day when Tommy left. That and the Pitura fiasco cost the club a bit of its'soul.
