In: 16 clones of chimp
Out: everyone except Cotch, Lids, Jack, Morris, dusty and Rance
-
So how do we combat Pavlich this week he is in hot form and kicking bags against top fullbacks in the afl not just on Rance early in the year. So do we double team him like they do to Jack or loose man in defence ?.
-
Cut the supply to him as best we can
-
No way we can beat the "Idiot Crowd" and the weak umpires that will sucumb to the mentatlity of the crowd.
We can beat the Dorks though, if we can have a 6 goal opening term to 3 and shut the crowd up early we will go ok. We actually play Subi ver well, always have.

A Tigers win would be nice but unfortunately I'd rather see someone take out Ballantyne and Crowley for the rest of the year.
Outs - Post, White
Ins - Batchelor (if available), Dea &
Tom Derrickx into squad for following reasons :
- Home state and ground should be good/firm
- Put him at Centre half fwd and keep him there
- Allows Maric to drop back to defence and will provide him a genuine ruck option to get a rest - McGuane against Griffin/Sandilands will be a joke.
- If ever there is a chance he was going to show something, anything - you would thing it would be at Patterson's!!!
We will require hard running to break the flooding MF Dockers and isolated tall target options so that the dockers cannot double team. With Jack, McGuane and Derrickx up forward leading to different spots the midfielders need to make the right choices of which forward to pick to deliver the ball.
Need Griffiths to stand up this week - supposedly meant to be a big mobile man - has done jack since coming back from injury. Needs to find space to give him time to deliver long balls from half forward to break the flood. Useless in deep defence.
Hardwick needs to coach well this week. Needs to get a win against Lyon so needs to work a way that players can stay fresh and keep running to provide options. Cannot allow Dockers to kick more than 2-3 goals in a row like last time. Crows broke down Dockers last week by hard running through lines and kicking to isolated targets

From today's West Australian...
Nat Fyfe has been cleared of a serious ankle injury and Fremantle coach Ross Lyon is confident his young star will be fit for Saturday's crunch clash with Richmond at Patersons Stadium.
Lyon said No.1 ruckman Aaron Sandilands still had several hurdles to clear to return this weekend from turf toe.
Defender Luke McPharlin will return from his one-game suspension, offering an immediate match-up for Richmond spearhead Jack Riewoldt.
Lyon described the Tigers as a really dangerous team.
"They've hardly been beaten by any margin this year," Lyon said.
"They've been in every game they've played. They've got their full midfield together.
"They've had a good win - two wins in a row - and they're feeling good about themselves, so we understand that it's a really important game for us and we're playing a quality opposition."
Richmond's finals hopes are remote despite them still being a mathematical chance.
They are 12th, two wins behind eighth-placed Essendon but with a superior percentage.
Coach Damien Hardwick said Richmond had made a conscious decision not to concede their 2012 campaign by prematurely sending players for surgery.
"For us to go forward, regardless of finals, for season 2013, we weren't going to pack up guys," Hardwick told Melbourne radio SEN.
"We were going to play the season out as much as we could with the list that we've got."

King backs Tigers to outrun Freo
Sky News
Tuesday August 14, 2012
Jake King says Richmond are keen to ruin other sides' finals hopes over the next fortnight even if the Tigers cannot make it themselves.
Richmond will take on Fremantle at Patersons Stadium on Saturday before two home games to finish the season against Essendon and Port Adelaide.
While King insists the Tigers have 'definitely not' given up on playing in September, the 28-year-old has claimed the opportunity to hurt the Dockers and Bombers in the quest to play finals will inspire Richmond over the next two weeks.
'That'd be just a bit of icing on the cake,' King said on Tuesday.
'If we can't make finals, you actually want to have something to play for.
'So you want to finish the season off strongly and you don't want to give other sides the four points and an easy run into the finals.
'If we can do that and upset a few sides along the way, it's just going to give us a good chance of slipping in ourselves if everything goes well.
'We actually can make it if things work in our favour.'
Richmond have won three of their past six games at Subiaco, including two against Fremantle.
While the three defeats have come in the most recent games, King has argued the Tigers enjoy playing out west.
'It's a big ground and we've got a lot of leg speed in our side,' King said.
'So hopefully it works in our favour again.'
King believes his side's speed could also hurt Fremantle's defensive structure.
'They like to do more of a full-ground press and get all of their players up the ground,' the Richmond utility said.
'So if we can move the ball quickly and get through their bubble, (and) the sides who have been have actually done quite well, it's going to be a good way to get over the line.'

Yeah I'm with you :thumbsup I read that article when OE posted it and I thought it sounded a bit desperate and hopeful. Then during the sports segment of MMM's news they played a snippet of Jake and they played that and it sounded much better. Just goes to show that media love beating us up and they'll even try to use our own to do it.

The AFL site is tipping Freo by 3 goals ...
Preview: Fremantle v Richmond
By Nathan Schmook and Paul Daffey
Tue 14 Aug, 2012
WHERE AND WHEN: Patersons Stadium, Saturday August 18, 2.40pm
LAST TIME: Richmond 9.12 (66) lost to Fremantle 12.6 (78), round 11, 2012 at the MCG
Fremantle was admirable but just not good enough against Adelaide at AAMI Stadium, with its 28-point loss ending a five-game winning run. The team's finals hopes remain alive, but this is a must-win game against Richmond. The Tigers, who beat the Western Bulldogs by 70 points in round 20, have a strong midfield group in good form and won't be easy prey.
THE FOUR POINTS
FREMANTLE
1. Ruckman Aaron Sandilands is on the cusp of returning from injury, posing an interesting selection dilemma for Ross Lyon. In the eight games ruckman Jon Griffin has played without Sandilands, Fremantle has a clearance differential of -2. In the seven games Sandilands has played without Griffin, the team has a differential of -24. Lyon has a stated aim to play both ruckmen as a duo, which has only happened once this season, against West Coast in round nine (Sandilands was injured in the opening minutes against Richmond in round 11). Will it be a success at the business end of the season?
2. An almost weekly dilemma for Lyon is who to send run-with specialist Ryan Crowley to - the inside distributor or the outside runner? Against Adelaide, Crowley went to clearance specialist Scott Thompson and was effective. However, Patrick Dangerfield got off the chain and was a match-winner. The Tigers boast two potential targets for Crowley this week - in-form Brownlow Medal fancy Trent Cotchin and Brett Deledio. In round 11, Crowley held Deledio to 15 possessions in a pivotal match-up.
3. Lyon was openly disappointed with his defenders against Adelaide, with the Crows scoring 34 times from 49 forward entries. Zac Dawson was caught out of position a number of times against Taylor Walker, while Michael Johnson was thrust into a key role after Alex Silvagni was withdrawn with illness. Luke McPharlin is a big inclusion this week to take on Jack Riewoldt, who kicked five goals last week, and Fremantle will hope his return from suspension lifts those around him.
4. Captain Matthew Pavlich was well held by young Adelaide defender Daniel Talia, but his form graph suggests he'll be quick to bounce back. The Coleman Medal leader this week equals West Coast champion Glen Jakovich's record of 276 games as the most by a WA-based player. He is set to break the record against North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium in round 22. Lyon has compared the durable Pavlich to Fitzroy 'superboot' Bernie Quinlan, who won a Brownlow Medal at 30 and played until he was 35.
RICHMOND
1. After infamously losing three consecutive games by less than a goal, the Tigers have shown excellent form over the past fortnight and go into this match in ripping nick. Their victims over the past two weeks have been the Brisbane Lions (48 points) and Western Bulldogs (70 points). In seeking to banish the disappointment of a season in which they’ve lost eight games by 21 points or less, they've played with passion and purpose — and even poise — over the past fortnight, and they'll be keen at atone for the 12-point loss to Fremantle in round 11. A small injury list helps their cause.
2. The footy world is discovering what Richmond fans have known for a long time: that midfielder Trent Cotchin is one of the best players in the competition. Cotchin earned rave reviews for his 35-disposal performance against the Bulldogs; the thing is, he's played like that for much of the season. As Richmond coach Damien Hardwick said after the match, he'd have to be a chance for the Brownlow Medal. Hardwick more than once this season has likened Cotchin to Chris Judd in that he's equally good inside and outside. At 22, the footy world is at Cotchin's feet. His likely opponent this Saturday is Ryan Crowley.
3. By kicking five goals against the Bulldogs, Riewoldt became the fifth player in the Tigers' history to kick 50 or more goals in three consecutive seasons. The others are Jack Titus, idiot Harris, Michael Roach and Kevin Bartlett. Riewoldt's tallies since 2010 have been 78, 62, and 54 and counting. With three games to go, it seems likely that he'll move past last year's tally. He might even move past Pavlich, the competition's leading goalkicker, who's on 57 goals. The battle between the two spearheads will provide a tantalising subplot for Saturday's game.
4. Richmond fans have fond memories of at least one particular match against Fremantle at Patersons Stadium. It was round four, 2008. After playing as a key forward for his entire career, Matthew Richardson was sent to a wing, and so began an amazing odyssey that, at 33, almost netted him a Brownlow Medal. Richardson had 25 disposals and kicked four goals as Richmond defeated Fremantle by 64 points. He continued to play on a wing for most of the season, culminating in the extraordinary Brownlow count in which most of those present were willing on a Richo victory. He finished equal third behind the Bulldogs' Adam Cooney and Simon Black of the Lions.
AFL.com.au prediction: Fremantle by 18 points

Tigers chase upset win over Freo
Steve Butler in Melbourne
The West Australian
August 15, 2012
Claiming Fremantle's scalp at Patersons Stadium on Saturday would put some "icing on the cake" as Richmond continue to pursue what appears an elusive finals berth.
Forward Jake King said yesterday that Richmond were targeting an upset result against the Dockers to not only seek redemption for a round-11 loss at the MCG, but also to hamper the WA team's hopes of a finals finish while keeping their own flickering.
Suspended for the June game after tripping St Kilda's Stephen Milne, King said the match would also provide him with a chance for personal payback to his team for having been absent in what could ultimately prove a crucial defeat.
The Tigers remain two wins behind Fremantle in the race for eighth position and victory would keep alive their slim hopes of a first finals finish under coach Damien Hardwick.
King said the loss to the Dockers was one of a frustrating handful of close defeats which have conspired against his team.
"So this week we get the opportunity to play them over there on their big stage and hopefully we get the four points this time," he said.
"I had to watch that one and it wasn't very enjoyable to watch. It was frustrating, but now I have the chance to do something about it with the other boys.
"You want to make amends and you want to do the right thing by the fans and by Damien and everyone else at the club.
"What better way to pay it back than finish off strongly and beat Freo over there because they're going to be a tough side.
"To get a win over there would actually be a big boost for all the playing group.
"I think it would be a little bit of icing on the cake."
King said the Richmond players had met midway through the season and pledged to play like their season was still alive right to the end of the home-and-away rounds.
Victories over Fremantle, Essendon and Port Adelaide in their last three matches would put them on 12 wins for the season, but could still leave them short of eighth position.
"For us now, it's a matter of playing out the rest of the year," he said.
"We need a lot of things to go our way to make finals, so the only thing we can do is play week by week and make sure that we get the four points."

Crowley will go hunting a top Tiger
Mark Duffield
The West Australian
August 16, 2012
Fremantle midfielder Nat Fyfe has backed in-form tagger Ryan Crowley to quell the influence of whichever Richmond star coach Ross Lyon sends him to at Patersons Stadium on Saturday, whether it is Trent Cotchin, Brett Deledio or Dustin Martin.
And Fyfe is confident he will be playing alongside Crowley and plans to test his injured ankle today in a bid to prove his fitness.
Fyfe injured the ankle when he trod on a suitcase in his hotel room in Adelaide last Saturday.
He paid tribute to Crowley, who had "the perfect build for most of the midfield types he plays on".
Crowley has re-emerged as one of the best run-with players in the competition. Last Saturday he held prolific Crow Scott Thompson to 16 possessions, only to see the Dockers get torched by Patrick Dangerfield and Matthew Wright.
Some weeks it was a coach's "toss of the coin" to see who Crowley went to, and that could be the case against the Tigers, Fyfe said.
"Last week it would have been the Dangerfield or Thompson one," Fyfe said. "Richmond have obviously got a really potent midfield with Cotchin and Martin playing some great footy.
"He (Crowley) is really important for us. It is one less player that us midfielders have to worry about.

Bartlett likes new look of Dockers
Steve Butler in Melbourne
The West Australian
August 16, 2012
A now very watchable Fremantle will beat Richmond at Patersons Stadium on Saturday and charge into the finals, according to Tigers legend Kevin Bartlett.
The 403-game great created headlines in May when he declared the Dockers "unwatchable" after West Coast restricted them to their lowest home-ground score in 18 years in a western derby thumping.
But Bartlett, who was at AAMI Stadium for Fremantle's loss to Adelaide last Saturday, said changes in personnel and a better handle on coach Ross Lyon's game structure had turned around the Dockers' on-field fortunes.
He believed the improvement would prove too much for Richmond to handle, especially after already losing to Fremantle this season by 12 points at the MCG in round 11.
Bartlett said he had used the "unwatchable" tag on the Dockers because Lyon had coached to blunt the opposition while he was still putting his best team together in his first season.
"I said they were unwatchable and they weren't enjoyable to watch, but I didn't say it wasn't the right way to coach," Bartlett said yesterday.
"I think Ross Lyon is a fabulous coach and obviously he was coaching an undermanned side in those days and was going about trying to play a shutdown style of game to see if he could pinch four points.
"I can understand that.
"But I saw Fremantle against Adelaide and they played pretty good football against a good side.
"As they've got their better players back, I think they've been playing some really attractive, attacking footy and they're pretty good to watch at the moment.
"In a tough game, they will more than likely get the points over the Tigers. And if they beat the Tigers then I think they'll make the finals."
Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich mauled Richmond defender Alex Rance with a six-goal haul in the round-11 win, but Bartlett said the young Tiger should be backed in for a chance at redemption.
"Pavlich played an absolute blinder that day," Bartlett said.
"But Rance will probably play on him again and he's had a very good season for the Tigers.
"I think that was probably the first time he got carved up for the season.
"He is one of their most improved players and Pavlich is an absolute star and a champion and he's been one of the greats of the game.
"So it's nothing to be embarrassed about if he carves you up one day. But he'd probably like the opportunity to get another crack at him to see if he can right the ledger."
While Bartlett gave Fremantle the edge over Richmond, he was certain the Tigers would soon grow into a force.
"The Tigers will certainly test Freo," he said. "They're not just playing young kids or just giving people games, Richmond want to finish the year on a high note to try and give themselves some sort of leg in for next year.
"It's always a tough game over there whether you're playing Freo or the West Coast Eagles, but the Tigers have made massive improvement. They probably should be in the finals, but they dropped games they should have won.
"It's tragic that they dropped those games and when the crunch came they made a few silly decisions. But I would think most Richmond supporters would suggest they are on the right track."

Richmond issues battle cry for Freo clash
Dale Miller and Steve Butler
The West Australian
August 17, 2012
Richmond have adopted a bold battle cry as they try to keep their season alive by blunting Fremantle's finals charge at Patersons Stadium tomorrow.
The Tigers, hell-bent on revenge, had a high-intensity training session yesterday at Victoria Park in which several players roared the slogan YOLO, meaning "you only live once".
Forward Jack Riewoldt spent time yelling at his teammates to "train to win".
The Tigers will leave nothing in the tank as they try to make amends for the round-11 loss to the Dockers at the MCG. That unexpected 12-point defeat started Richmond's slide from finals contention.
The Tigers are in 12th spot, two wins outside of the top eight.
Their declaration came as ninth-placed Fremantle made a surprise move, naming a fit Aaron Sandilands as an emergency just hours after coach Ross Lyon had flagged using the giant up forward.
East Fremantle will learn today whether Sandilands will play his first WAFL game in seven years by lining up for them against West Perth on Sunday.
That scenario would represent a shift in thinking at the Dockers, with Jonathon Griffin having performed well as the club's No.1 ruckman during the two months Sandilands has been sidelined with turf toe.
Fremantle regain Nat Fyfe from an ankle injury and welcome back Luke McPharlin from suspension.
Lachie Neale (quad) and Dylan Roberton have been omitted.
Fyfe's inclusion comes despite leaving the track just minutes into yesterday's training session at Fremantle Oval.
However, stoppages coach Mark Stone told the club's website that their young star would play against the Tigers.
The visitors made one change, with Brett O'Hanlon replacing injured Reece Conca (foot).
Coach Damien Hardwick said victory over Fremantle would be sweet revenge.
"We've certainly got our work cut out for us, but we're looking forward to turning the tables this time," he said.
"We probably didn't play at our best that day and didn't handle the conditions overly well either.
"The conditions over in Perth are going to be nice and we play a good style of footy that hopefully suits those conditions."
Lyon praised Richmond's midfielders, saying he expected them to be a handful.
"They've already put it on that they want to derail us," Lyon said. "We've heard that a number of times over the last few weeks. We'll be ready and prepared."
Forward Chris Mayne was named in a forward pocket after passing a concussion test.
McPharlin will return to a back six that was criticised by Lyon after last Saturday's loss in Adelaide and said he did not want it simply to respond because of the inclusion of their most experienced member.
"It'd be a sad state of affairs if we're using excuses and we want to be a one-man team," Lyon said.

griffin to play forward then?
Giant stuff not playing. See, rossco trying it on. :shh
:lol
I'd given up waiting for the after the event response.
-
;D
-
Good to see the boys are fired up for this game, very important this game in the context of next year.
-
Should have beaten the buggers last time but our poor attitude and skill errors and the umpires and Pavlich led to a Jockers win.
Frijo wont have the same lack of respect back given the game is on their home turf and Tigers play ok in WA.
Hopefully Jack gets off his butt and runs amok! Owes us about 10 goals!
-
yep it was a defining lose at that
stage of the season lets see
if we can upset their aim for the 8
would love to see Rossy blowing a fuse
in the box. :lol
-
The style of footy that Lyon dished us last time at the G was disgusting.
hardwick was out-coached, time for redemption.
-
llRC freo had great success tagging Lids last time .Seemed to throw us out of whack.

Sandilands won't be playing...
Tigers' Sandi relief
richmondfc.com.au
9:50 PM Fri 17 Aug, 2012
RICHMOND has welcomed news that star Fremantle ruckman Aaron Sandilands will play in the WAFL this weekend, but stressed that Ivan Maric and the Tigers midfielders would not underestimate improved big man Jon Griffin at Patersons Stadium.
Fremantle confirmed on Friday afternoon that Sandilands would play for East Fremantle this Sunday in his return from a 10-week toe injury, lining up in the WAFL for the first time since 2005.

Beware of Tigers left free to roam
Steve Butler
The West Australian
August 18, 2012
Richmond midfielder Brett Deledio says sending tagger Ryan Crowley to his side for another long, hard day at the office could leave Fremantle exposed to another of the most damaging midfielders at Patersons Stadium today.
Deledio said that being kept by Crowley to just 15 possessions - his lowest haul in three years - in a shock round-11 loss to the Dockers was a day he would like to forget.
In his other 18 games this season, he has averaged 29 possessions.
But while Deledio said he would embrace the chance to make amends against Crowley, who kept prolific Adelaide ball-winner Scott Thompson to 16 possessions last Saturday, he said leaving teammate Trent Cotchin with too much freedom would be fraught with danger.
Cotchin played what Deledio described as possibly his best game with 35 possessions and three goals in last Sunday's victory over the Western Bulldogs.
The No.2 draft pick from 2008 who has been touted as a future captain has produced stunning form of late and is one of the AFL's best midfielders.
Fremantle coach Ross Lyon said earlier this week that he would "leave it to the last minute" to give Crowley his assignment for today's match.
"You wouldn't really know which way they will go this time, but leave Trent Cotchin alone at your own peril," Deledio said. "He was bloody fantastic last week.
"But I wouldn't be surprised if I've got another little game against Ryan. He's good fun, Ryan.
"This year he's probably been your premier tagger and hasn't had too many guys beat him.
"I've played him a couple of times in previous years and we're probably about square and it should be a good battle if I get another chance.
"It's a lot different game if it's in the dry and hopefully I can turn the tables."
Deledio's placement in the list of games played among the Tigers spells out a lot about where their development stands.
Captain Chris Newman has played the most games with 211, followed by Deledio on 169. Shane Tuck is next on 159 and then Daniel Jackson and Nathan Foley on 120.
"We're still one of the most inexperienced sides out there other than the obvious couple," Deledio said. "It's a credit to our coaches and development guys to have our younger players up and playing their roles so quickly because it's keeping us competing in games and holds us in good stead for next year."
Eight defeats by less than 20 points, including three in a row by less than a goal, are almost certain to leave the Tigers wondering what might have been in 2012.
"That's something, as leaders, we've really tried to concentrate on - keeping the group jelled together and quite up and about," he said.

C'mon boys, please please beat them on their home turf... :pray

Crowley on Cotch.
-
Freo obviously willing to pay the fine.
Brendon Lade said we were prepared for both scenarios whether Sandilands plays or not. Let's hope so.

Two good marks to Post.

Need to kick these goals, need early goals.

Point to Cotch.

It's ok, he has mates..

You can't have the ball inside your forward 50 and not score a goal. Our inefficient forward line has been costly all year.
First goal to Pav from only Freo's second entry.

Stupid stuffing crowd starting their booing poo :banghead

Gossage said the team sheets were released then Griffen did an injury in the warm-up so Sandilands came in. Freo will cop a fine over it.

Do we have 22 players out there? Getting smashed through the middle now and coughing the ball up in defence :banghead.

stuffing turnovers...Martin??
-
1/4 time.
Richmond 2.3-15
Fremantle 3.4-22
Goals: Riewoldt, King.
Thank god for the siren. We seem tired already. Maybe we're not use to the warmer conditions (23 degrees).
-
was a nice shepherd put on two of our players by the umpire while Freo ran it back out of defence
-
They have to use Griff and his 70m kick a bit more to bust open the forward flood.
Worrying signs though in the last few minutes.
-
BTW, I hate Tony Shaw more than anything on this earth.
How did this bloke even get hired? Stupid, ignorant (they are different), and barely literate. :banghead
-
It would be good if we had a Plan B to use when the opposition play us one-on-one. We need a long kick down the line and a stoppage strategy like the skunks or Swannies. The dinky little sideways chip is not going to win it.
-
Good luck to Freo because I hate everything about their style of football. Absolute vomit to watch
-
Do we have 22 players out there? Getting smashed through the middle now and coughing the ball up in defence :banghead.
Yeah they seem to have players everywhere, Sandilands is freaking killing us, they are killing us in the centre...
Is Lids there?
-

Looks like Lyon just had to pull out the 'Richmond File' and off he went :banghead. This will be another test for our Coach.
-
Gotta get a lead up fwd, mcguane is a decoy and jack is a lazy prick that cant burst for more than 10m at a time. Id play Lids at CHF, wont do much on the ball with Crowley on him, see if Crowley can handle that

We are getting logged, how about a throw ump.. :banghead
Well the crowd are up.

Hilarious how Kepler Bradley always has a day
out against us
Also that was a throw from Pav in the middle
of the ground ump
-
Maric looks scared now..
-
Geez.... Eff this
-
They are just working harder and are outnumbering us at the contest. Sandlilands handing the ball to their mids on a platter.
Shocking defence too. Big Ivan dropped the mark and then we didn't clear. This could end up our first big loss of the year the way it's going.
Rich 15
Freo 29
"Jacko handballs his skipper into trouble" ... what a surprise!
-
how many throws are these arseholes gonna get away with?
-
First smashing for the year?

Be nice to get first hands on the ball.
Boys are starting to get frazzled. Need some composure.
-
Go 2 handed jack u stuffin muppet
-
We are as stagnant as a ses pit.
-
Can say right now we are going to lose if we play like this. And by a lot.
Not taking the man on like we did against Bulldogs, obviously the opposition are of a higher quality but thats no excuse for lack of effort.
These are the games that I feel sorry for cotch and lids and morris
-
Sandi killing it

Training drill for Freo. We look out on our feet already.

Ramps, think what happened to Hawkins last week. Third man up and came down head first into the turf. Out cold and off on a stretcher.
-
Martin needs to get involved. FFS lift son :banghead
-
Can't we just forfeit now?
-
LOL Bradley :lol.

Weak as pee!

Richmond 2.3 5.4-34

Ended up stemming the tide a bit in the last 8 minutes of the quarter. Started kicking it a bit longer and not so sideways.
-
Why didn't someone remonstrate with 'Not worth a Zack' Dawson when he 'clocked Kingy?
That annoys me no end.
Where's the "stick up for your mates" fight??
-
Feel sorry for Cotch & lids when I see the team play such crap footy.

Hope Griffin is ok. Has anyone seen him come back on ?

Why didn't someone remonstrate with 'Not worth a Zack' Dawson when he 'clocked Kingy?

Where's the "stick up for your mates" fight??
Because all players are afraid of being rubbed out by the dopey inconsistent MRP even if they are just standing up for themselves.
-
Freo ran em selves ragged they started to flag some of em stopped running
Yep, it allowed some of our players, who had been walking for some time, to catch up to them.
Free supposed to be a good second half team! Oh dear, we could be in for trouble.

1 vs 3 and the freo 1 wins the free lmao

Freo is doing a great job of closing the game down. We have zero room to move. We need three tall forwards and a change of game plan when opponents do this to us. We've gotta have long options

Gotta ask the question about the deliberate paid against Postie. What option did he have?
Think Post has had a solid game by his standards.
-
Lucky they've missed a few otherwise this would be a 10 goal loss. 29 shots to 15.
-
Junk time goal to us. Lids 2nd.
Rich 66
Freo 94

He has indeed.

Yep, Pope, he's looked OK on the box. Had a coupled of rough umpiring decisions against him, but he's gone in hard a few times when the ball has been on the ground.
-
LOL McGuane again.
-
Bahahah Jackson
-
Another goal stuffed up because we couldn't hit a target :scream
-
TRADE NAHAS
-
Bahahah Jackson
I'll see your Jackson and raise you a Nahas.
-
TRADE NAHAS
Unfortunately Jack there are a few in the queue before him :'(
-
hahaha Mcguane Edwards Jackson White
what a premiership quartet we have right there
Amazed neither have one haven't been made captain
they've put on quite a show havent they?
loved how Edwards missed an easy hball to cotch and shaw was talking about the lesser lights missing under pressure and while hes saying it, jackson stops props hesitates and then drops it after having clear possession :lol
we have many more that need to be upgraded but while we have any of those pretenders in our side, we'll go nowhere
-
hahaha Mcguane Edwards Jackson White

After all these years its amazing they are on the list. Craig Cameron List Manager - :help
-
O'Hanlon kicks a goal on the siren.
Siren puts us out of our misery.
Final Score..

Fremantle 3.4 7.8 10.12 13.16-94
Goals: King 3, Riewoldt 2, Deledio 2, White, Nahas, Edwards, O'Hanlon

That was a pee-er
It was as if he knew what most of us are thinking about the spuds who continuually get gifted games.
-
TRADE NAHAS
He's probably worth more to the opposition when he's playing for us, Jack.
-
Bahahah Jackson
I'll see your Jackson and raise you a Nahas.
I'd get rid of Jackson before Nahas. I reckon I'd be able to take Jackson's spot on the list.
-
We'll be able to claim it's another low 20-ish loss but the scoreboard flattered us. We were woeful and it could've easily been a 10 goal loss if Freo were a decent side.
Morris, Kingy, Tucky and perhaps Grigg and Cotch were okay. Dusty was good after half-time but poor in the first half. The bottom end was sub-substandard which again comes down to a lack of depth. Oh well it shows once again we aren't good enough yet and need another half-dozen of AFL standard footballers before we can really push for finals.
-
Cotch, Tuck were pretty awesome I thought MT, Kingy our 3rd best then daylight. Lids tried hard and did well to kick 2 while being worn by Crowley. Martin had a strong second half and Maric worked his way into the match after being destroyed early.
-
Don't think we are capable of playing finals in 2013
Why ?
As we need to add at least 8-10 players to that team that played today
And they ain't going to happen

Have to agree. It could be a long road ahead. I cant believe that in 2012 I still have to watch my team play with the likes of Jackson, McGuane et al. still playing. Feel sorry for Damien Hardwick, but more sorry for Cotchin and Deledio because they have to play with idiots or blokes who should be playing for Noble Park.
-
Coaching staff has to shoulder the blame for this loss - Hardwick has no idea against the flooding Lyon
• No back up ruck? McGuane against Sandilands was a joke
• Delidio beaten by Crowley again
- Riewoldt beaten by McPharlane again
- Rance beaten by Pavlich again
- Morris got beaten by the turd ( should have flattened the dog)
It was like groundhog day - same game as earlier in the year.
Post, McGuane, White etc cannot play against quality sides. Selections were a joke.
O'Hanlon is not AFL standard - does not work hard enough
Well done Cotch, Kingy, Tucky
-
The one consultation is that I don't know any Freo supporters but lots of Ess and Carlton ones.
I will have fun on Monday.
"Richmond lost on purpose because we hate Carlton and Ess worse than we hate Freo"
:lol

and dont forget the part about the better draft pick where we will pick up a quality midfielder before they get the chance too ;D

Pretty much on the money there TM.
Cotch's influence on the scoreboard was less this week though because he got a lot of the ball in the back half (out of necessity because that's where the ball was often).

Hardly think a loss to freo at subi will form the basis of our 2013 fortunes , that makes as much sense as using our win against haw or syd as a reference point...weve demonstrated just how competitive we are agaist the contenders, soe shrewd recruiting will see us bridge that narrow gap

I dont know if you noticed but we dont have a lot of options, the fact we have to play players like White, Jackson and Mcgawn should tip off even the dumbest supporter that we are shallow as

To be competitve in any final series, you need to be able to win games interstate
You tell me when we beat an interstate team at there home ground when they were in the 8.?
We are a long way off.
-
Reckon that North are at least 4-5 goals better than us

Stop it !!!!
Logic and calm heads have no place on this site.
It very simple, our bottom 3 or 4 cost us each week, improve on them and we are up there. White, Jackson, Edwards and McGuane are the 4 from today (My opinion). I know some will say Post and a few other youngsters but I can see what they COULD be with games and time. I remember how many of us were saying Rance would not make it. We have improved and anybody that cant see that or is just so negative they wont admitt it, well I am not even going to bother to read.

4 points actually :lol?..quit the bs and bluster and qualify your rants, your a mile off....again :shh
-
Simply our worst performance of the year
Too much left to too few
Terrible skill errors, poor decision making
Terrible game. Kingy being our best player sums the day up I would think. Outside of Cotch of course :thumbsup
At least the weather over here was sensational today ;D

At least I won the golf - salvaged something from the wreck!

Just waiting to catch the red-eye home

Mine's tomorrow night - same deal though, red-eye home.
-
Basic football skills and brains killed us.Martin,McGuane,Jackson,Rance,Nahas and Newman and a few others at times turned it over and and made silly mistakes.Still got the habit of going to Jack when he has got no chance to mark it 2 on 1.
-
Not good enough! pee poor effort!
Too many passengers in the team!
Too many mediocre players!
Shouldn't have lost to Carlscum.!!!

While I get why posters are unhappy with last night and absolutely we could've lost by 10 goals had Freo kicked straight - they didn't and we hung in there despite playing poorly.
The way we have been able to stick close to sides over this season is a major improvement - in 30 years we have been unable to avoid the blow out loss on multiple occasions happening during the year.
Even in our good years, we were always susceptible to the blow out loss.
Again, I get posters frustration and dismissing of this aspect because a loss is a loss - reality though is our list is limited and we are squeezing every last drop from it.
Application of talent is as important as having the talent to start with and the coaching staff should be :thumbsup for that.
Ross Smith, big positive for the club this year.

Oh well, thank god we had guests around...
This team... :-\
-
Cotchin is a champ as is delidio. And tucky.
The rest can run 20 x 400 meter sprints and get punished for poor unexeptable performances.
The coaching staff need to raise the bar next year and not put up with mediocrity that still exists.

I was only really disappointed in the coaching and strategy yesterday - I reckon Hardwick does not know what to do against Lyon's game plan

interesting observation considering the last result between
the 2 clubs. :lol
-
You suck, Tiges.
-
all someone had to do, is smack the gruffalow galloping girraffe in the forehead and he would of dropped down dead coz he has an oversized pituatary gland and and eggshell thin skull in front of it like all giant freaks. How stuffing hard is it!!!!!
