Title: Ray 'slug' Jordon RIP
Post by: one-eyed on August 14, 2012, 02:55:30 AM
Slug Jordon who coached Richmond's U19 side in the 1960s/70s has passed away after battling cancer.

As well as developing youngsters at U19 level that were part of our glory years under Hafey, he also coached the U19s to 5 flags - 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970 & 1973 = before crossing to North.

Sad news.
I won't ever forget his commentary the day Darren Bourke went off at the lakeside oval.

"I think you've got to take the boy off"

[after Bourke jumped the fence and decked a fan] - "He's done well" lol
