Will be tough to get best first year player, especially if your a backmen. And even more especially if your from richmond. Will have to contend with players like ahmed saad and dayne zorko etc. I think he's one of the best if not the best.
Now if he can't get the award for most courageous then I don't know wtf is going on!?!

Schulz should win most courageous even though he isn't nominated. Brown will win it.
-
Schulz did not play enough games because he kept getting knocked out! Anyone know why he left the Tigers?
Also why would not Cotchin be in line for most courageous as well?

He left because he couldnt handle the presure of playing for one of e "Big 4" sides! That and he was poo scared of Cleeve breathing down his neck to take his spot.....

Cotch came 3rd in the AFL MVP behind now 4-time winner Gary Ablett and Jobe Watson.
Ablett was voted by his fellow players as the best on ground for season 2012, polling 788 votes to finish ahead of Essendon skipper Jobe Watson (602) and Trent Cotchin (495).
Jobe Watson was voted Best Captain while Joel Selwood and Beau Waters tied for Most Courageous.
The Best First Year Player Award was taken out by GWS Giant Jeremy Cameron.

About where I reckon he will finish in the Brownlow.
-
Just watching it now. Ablett said Cotchin is the future of footy :cheers

Cotch should have won this award. Fricken rubbish.

Sadly I reckon you're right smokey. Hope I am wrong but I just think Junior will win the thing again.
Umpires love Junior more than the players, they get seduced by him getting 40 possessions ;D
Perfect example of the umpires' love fior Junior will be in our game -v- GC, can see Junior getting votes when he wasn't in the bests simple because he had 30 odd touches with a lot coming across HB and weren't damaging

I'm with you, maybe it is a little bitterness, but I think the AFLPA awards are flawed. Joel Selwood will win every courageous player award for the rest of his career because a) the media always go on about how tough he is; and b) he always has a bandage on his head.
Cotchin is just as courageous and Steve Morris is fearless.
Ablett wins because he has been good for a long time and is just the easy option for players who probably don't really give a poo when filling out the voting forms.

Yep He is right up there with Luke Ball as both of them end up looking like an extra from "Shaun of the dead".

Morrie is tougher IMO . The difference is he doesn't use his head as a speed impediment, so most of his bandages are on his shoulder and torso
