Title: An eye to the future
Post by: mightytiges on May 05, 2005, 05:47:06 PM
Just read Flood's Coburg report on EOTT (btw has EOTT been updated since round 1  ???). Good to see we are slowly moulding our young guys at the burgers to take over from our seniors guys approaching retirement in a few years.

Moore seems to be a straight replacement for Kellaway down back rebounding quickly off defensive 50, distributing and hitting targets which is good to hear.
Jackson in the midfield not so much to replace anyone but to add himself to the roles Tuck and Cogs are doing of hitting the packs.
Pattison to be a mobile tall almost a tall utility type that can be moved to FF,CHF, ruck or wherever needed. Replacement for Stafford.

I am pleased to see the consistent improvement of Alex Gilmour as reported on the Flood Report.  I saw him playing VFL down here before he was drafted and the kid showed a lot of promise.  Hope he continues the Tassie tradition of always having a decent Taswegian in the Tiges lineup!

I agree TT...perhaps you can sign my 'Give Alex Gilmour a go' petition :thumbsup

Let's hope he puts in another good game tomorrow.
