Not necessarily what I think it should be, rather what it might be:

Cotchin (c)
Deledio (vc)
Newman
Riewoldt
Maric

Captian. Chimp.
Vice. Lids.

Deputy Vice captain ( very under used term in modern footy) Morris. Would have also accepted Raance / Foley.

According to BF, the new leadership group is:

Captain: Trent Cotchin
V-Capt: Brett Deledio
plus Dylan Grimes, Ivan Maric, Jack Riewoldt and Daniel Jackson.

Newman has stepped down completely from the leadership group.

I hope that it is a ploy to make him seem a really important part of the club, thus boosting his trade value.

Influential ruckman, Ivan Maric, and rising star defender, Dylan Grimes, have been included in Richmond’s leadership group for the 2013 season.

The Tigers’ players and coaches voted on the new structure while on their pre-season camp in Cairns this week.

The leadership group also includes recently-appointed captain Trent Cotchin, vice-captain Brett Deledio, Jack Riewoldt and Daniel Jackson.

Is Jackson in the LG because he will be captaining Coburg this year?

How does he fit in our best 22?

B: Ellis Chaplin Morris
HB: Grimes Rance Houli
C: Martin Tuck Deledio
HF: Grigg Vickery S.Edwards
F: King Riewoldt A.Edwards

R: Maric Cotchin Foley

Int: Newman Griffiths Conca Knights

Emg: Dea Nahas Batchelor Astbury

Only possible spots he could replace are Tuck or Conca. The rest even if out of form are better than an inform Jackson.

Im neither for or against A Edwards, indifferent and wish him well, but seriously you're being ridiculous. So what about his last game?  His best is easily good enough to get a starting spot in our side atm, easily.
Hopefully that wont be the case by seasons end bc that will mean Vickery and someone like Elton wouldve stepped up.

I will say it again for the millionth time the just move on FFS!!

They love Jackson, the club love him, the players love him the coaching staff love him and the Coach loves him, he hasn't been trade bait for the club at all ever, only for supporters, hoping, wishing and praying. Jackson is going no where, he will be there round 1-22, barring injury and report, what don't you get about that!!!! Keep bashing your heads against that Jackson brick wall it will do you no good though..

At least my love/hate affair is off and on with Edwards and I know he is staying and staying in the team, so I am getting over that, but this Jackson witch hunt is relentless, honestly go kick your cat or stuff a chicken, you will probably get more satisfaction. But Gods sake already, move the stuff on from Jackson!!!!

Jacko has a big impact off field with the young players. Jim Stynes medal..clearly has some leadership ability. Smart lad.

In saying that, if he's a staple in our best 22 this year we'll struggle to play finals again.

Edwards>Jackson.

In nearly every sense:-

Ability
General skills
Kicking accuracy
Speed
Goal scoring
Reading of the play
On field discipline
Non-red head
Eyebrows match hair colour

Now, because I'm such a great guy WAT, im going to do you a favour. I'm prepared to accept your impending acknowledgement of defeat on the topic of Edwards, Jackson and any comparison, providing it is also accompanied by an apology to everyone on this site. The apology must be made within 24 hours.

I can't stand Jacko either. For a supposedly bright lad academically, he's just a dumb, dumb footballer - slow of mind, poor by hand and foot. When we are on a fast break and building, I just shudder when he is the next link in the chain, because invariably the whole thing stops dead in its tracks. He is a momentum-killer.
Unfortunately, despite all this, WA Tiger has a point. We can sit at our keyboards and moan and bitch about his poor performances until the cows come home, and it wont make a lick of difference. He aint going anywhere. For some reason that's a mystery to us, he's as solid as cement in the coaces/selectors eyes, blind as they are to his myriad shortcomings.
On the bright side, perhaps courtesy of his many brain fades,  we can only hope that the match review panel will mercifully continue to remove him from the team for long periods in 2013. A mercy that our selectors are incapable of.

Vlastuin is the one to phase Daniel Jackson out of the side- classic, hard nut wingman, big upgrade on Jackson, unlike Jacko he won't waste open field kicks, he finds targets.

Surely there isn't enough room in the middle for him, Tuck and Jackson so surely Jackson is the first to go out of those three.

If you're not likely to get 22 games, you shouldn't be on the leadership group.

The inner sanctum doesn't appear to notice the onfield undisciplined acts off the ball that give away dumb frees and get Jacko suspended on a regular occurrence nor his inane ability to be a momentum killer. I'm happy with the other choices for the leadership group but Jacko still being in there just baffles me :huh3. He may be one of the smartest blokes off-field but he sure leaves his brains in his locker once he crosses that white line  :scream.
