Leading into the preseason games each year we usually start looking ahead at the season for individual Tigers.
Nahas is first up. He is entering his 5th year of AFL having played 77 career games so far.
What are your expectations for Robbie in 2013 and what does he need to do for him to have a good year?
Career stats:

no expectations from me as per other post.. i think he lacks in areas and others have him covered now. Cant kick very far, no left foot and doesnt have the strength to lay a tackle.. He's nippy and knows where the goals are but is that enough? me thinks not. Gone!

I hope he Lebanese Turkey slaps all the doubters but yeah can't see that happening lol

Expectations?
I dont' really have any to be honest
I reckon he will start the season in our top 22 but not sure if he will stay there. Hopefully if all this talk about our extra depth is correct then when his form drops like it did in 2012 he wont be given games because we have no one else.
I would love to see him not falling over all the time ;D

Will be eventually replaced by McDonough, hopefully sooner rather than later.
-
GWS will regret not doing the trade Nahas>>>Tyson.

I have high expectations in 2013 for tripod. Must kick a goal on his left foot. ;D
-
Be great if he could kick 30+ goals again.

What about his 3rd leg? Would that count?

Should be a 9 pointer!

Close enough. Depending how it's hanging it would be to the left of his right leg I guess. :-\

I find it hard to fit him into the forward line along with the resting mids and Kingy. Still, It's a good position to be in having Robbie as a back-up given the inevitable injuries that will occur as the year goes on.

I find it hard to leave our second highest goal scorer out of the 22 TBH, can't replace him with "potential", the spot is his until someone takes it from him
He's been pretty consistent for a small forward over the last 4 years, even with his obvious flaws, more of the same is my expectation

Agree Gerks.

We talk about depth all the time. If we're ever a top 4 side then you'd hope Nahas would play a similar role to Shannon Byrnes back in the day. Not quite best 22 but ripping it up in the magoos and still getting regular games in the ones due to inevitable injuries to other players. His left foot is a disgrace. He would seriously be better off flopping it out and swinging that anaconda at the footy when he's caught on his left

Disgrace is a bit harsh. The one time i saw him kick with his left it nearly hit the target.

my feelings on him are well documented.
its long been my belief that we cannot play all of king edwards and nahas in the one forward line its just too limiting and none imo really offer enough when/if they rotate thru the midfield.
to me the ideal set up is one of nahas, king, s edwards and mcdough as a small forward. these 4 are in competition with each other for one possibly two spots at best.
one of a edwards petterd or ohanlon as a medium marking option and we rotate one the many good mids we have who are capable forwards in, deledio, martin, cotchin, knights conca,
thats 3 forward spots with the other 3 taken by vickery in a paocket as a stuff and kpfs in riewoldt and one of griffiths/astbury/elton.
like others here i think the club will give nahas first option after all he kicked 34 goals. i think s edwards will also play leaving king on the outer unless he can play as a mid.
for me i think for the small fellas to survive they really have to show they can make significant contributions in the midfield. imo nahas would make a good sub injected late in games with his run and pace. at times he has played some decent footy but for me he is just too limited with too many weakneses in his game especially for a small.
as usual im always looking to replace the glass half full types with more rounded types. i certainly classify king and nahas as glass half fulls.

Edwards offers more forward and in the middle than Knights
