SYDNEY'S contentious $900,000 salary cap allowance is being paid by the AFL.
The Swans yesterday confirmed it was the league - and the not the club - which paid out the 9.8 per cent bonus.
Rival clubs expressed dismay, saying it meant the AFL had effectively paid for Kurt Tippett to become a Sydney Swan.
"It's a joke," one senior club figure said.

Time for this admin to resign and give someone else a go.
The Cypriot has had 10 years about 3-4 yrs too many for someone in a CEO position at one organisation. Too much misappropriation. Has failed the game and he is going from scandal to scandal with everything from the management of the game to the rule changes.
The game is being run into the ground.
Too many of his cronies now in influential positions to do anything about him.
The sports credibility is diminishing.

Sydney have other priorities like paying an extra 9.8% to rent the land for the SCG. :shh
