Love all the 6 points but particularly the last point. We do have real scope for improvement and this was first stated by Dimma straight after the last game and then repeated by other players when interviewed through the week.
We haven't seen any of our midfielders kick any goals while resting forward to date like we did last year and Cotch in particular has been quiet so far this year (to his incredibly lofty standards) and has been messy at times with his disposal. He has been the number one concern and focus for the opposition this year due to his efforts last year and the the pressure is showing - remarkably, he will improve.
Chaplin's performance has already begun to tend upwards from just two games. When he learns the game plan and how to work together with Rance, Grimes and Morris then we will go from having an average backline to having a strong backline.
The same can be said of our three tall forwards. When to go up and when to go back. Jack will be again triple teamed this week - can our midfield look past him to other options?
Maric was ordinary. Is his fitness down? Is he injured? We will improve our ruck efforts.
The other benefit is through attrition. When players begin to suffer injuries or drop in form we have players to cover them where many other teams will not.
I'm looking forward to our midfield continuing to strengthen with players such as Conca, Martin, Ellis and Vlaustin stepping up further this year. :thumbsup
All looking good to me :gotigers

Why can't you post the full articles?
Because we have been asked by the club not to post entire RFC exclusive articles in full. We been asked to post part of the article and then the link.
So then folks if they are interested can go the clubs website to read the article. Every hit the RFC gets is worth $$ to the club via the Telstra deal with the AFL
All Tiger fan sites like ours have been asked to do this and we are more than happy to oblige because it helps the club
