Batch being dropped is purely a match-up issue IMO. The cats have a fleet of damaging small forwards.

anyone hear anything about cotch's knee?
-
Ins: Chaplin, Morris king
Outs:Helbig, batchelor and nahas
Three obvious changes there.
The biggest talking point is no Tuck. He wasn't in the side last week because supposedly he was being "rested". You don't need to be "rested" for two weeks after just 4 rounds. Dimma must not be happy again with the defensive side of Tucky's game.
-
so unhappy he banned him football all together last week?

Thats fine, he can pick up 40 plus possies for coburg and dismantle the bombre reserves by himself :shh
-
Tucky should be in :banghead
This is worse than the AFL trying to sweep Essendon's drug cheating regime under the rug
WHAT'S GOING ON RICHMOND?!?!
-
gerks wasn't it you who was happy with clubs keeping injury issues private?.. I apologise if it wasn't you
-
Chapman 40 possies and 3-4 goals, Hawkins 8 goals, we couldn't contain Cloke.....
-
What's the chance that Tucky will come in for someone at the last minute.....
-
cotch????

Pretty handy side just quietly :shh
-
I'm afraid Tucky may not be in Dimma's plans going forward. Other than on days where rain is forecasted.

yeah its the joint between his hip and ankle

I would've thought tucky might've played as its going to be a wet night and Tucky does his best work in the wet and probably at night.
Do you know something?
-
He might still be having issues with his diet and innards, Never seen him tired until that Collingwood game. He might be still getting things sorted out. He basically can't eat cereals, pasta and breads, kinda stuffs your normal western carb staples up a bit.
-
Tuck late inclusion perhaps.

Come on guys cant believe no one has mentioned how Ricky Petterd is still in the side ??? :banghead.Batch should be there ahead of him so should a few others.Dimma please.
-
Tuck should be in that side
Totally agree. Particularly against a side that Geelong

Agree. Petterd should consider himself very lucky. Batch should be ahead of him

Obviously Petterd played the role they wanted last week and stays. Maybe Batch didn't
I think the fact that Dimma said Lids played his role well last week while most of us thought he was poor just highlights that

what role is that Willy? Dropping sitters and hitting targets abt 50% of the time with lob wedges? :rollin

I disagree. I reckon one of Batchelor's biggest shortcomings is that he is a bit soft at the contest and against Geelong that will be a huge minus. Petterd has a good dip but needs to work on his disposal so I guess the club reckon getting the ball and possibly stuffing it up against Geelong is better than not getting it at all.

Its the hammy you get when you only get one kick
Speaking of hammys, Jack Watts has a hammy.
Would be a worry for the Dees that he's pulling a hammy from just jogging around imitating a footballer.

Agree about Petterd. I fear that the Geelong will drop off him to ensure the ball ends up in his hands because they know 9/10 he just bombs it long, drops the mark or makes the wrong decision. Harsh I realize but Batch, while much younger, seems more polished for mine but perhaps less versatile.
Tuck could come in for Knights if the weather turns bad but I do feel this is a selection decision based on the size of the ground and run required.

but he always kills us
then again all of the cats do lol

Aaron Edwards can think himself a bit stiff. What more does he need to do? It's not like our forwardline is firing on all cylinders!
As for the Batch/Pettard debate, I would rather Pettard at the moment. Batch plays like a robot. Not a good spoiler and gets caught ball watching to often. It's one of those things you don't pick up on TV but at the game, it's stands out like dogs balls.
Anyway I recon we are a massive chance this weekend and I'll take Sportsbets $3.. :gotigers

Judgment time for Petterd as a rookie?
Also has anyone else been a bit disappointed with Batch's progress? Loved his first year, excused his second but so far this year, mmmm
-
Yep. Would prefer Dea over@ Ricky.

Fair call on the 1st point, don't think Petts or Batch are doing enough to be in the 1's.
Dea can consider himself unlucky

Depth is supposed to make senior players better due to the competition for certain positions.
I'm failing to see this working for us at the minute.

Yes but that only works if the senior players get dropped after being poor. Unlike our case.
