@ManUtd_PO: Sir Alex Ferguson retires. #thankyousiralex
....finally!
Though didnt he do this once before? ;D
-
Dear me ..a dark cloud has descended over planet earth...
get him to tiger land ASAP
-
I read earlier their was rumors of him retiring before Sunday. He'll leave a successful legacy at the club.
-
He said he was going to retire at the end of the 2001/02 season but half way through the year he felt invigorated and rescinded his decision. Thankfully he did.
As a Man United fan I am saddened to see him go but 27 years is a long long time and 38 trophies both domestic and European is huge. 49 trophies throughout his career. :cheers
Moving to the boardroom and an ambassadorial role upstairs.
From a Man United fan- Thank you Sir Alex. Legend. :thumbsup :cheers :clapping :bow :congrats

Everything Man Utd is today can be attributed to Fergie. Before he became manager, they hadn't won the league title for something like 25 years while Liverpool then the biggest and most popular club in the land had twice as many titles. Now Man U has not only bypassed Liverpool on every level to dominate the domestic league on and off the field, it has become the No.1 sporting global brand.
Just on Fergie, success has followed him wherever he goes. Don't forget before he became Man Utd's manager, he lead Scottish club Aberdeen to two league titles in the mid-1980s. It is still to this day the last time a non old-firm club has won the Scottish league title.
The big question now is who takes over Fergie at Man U? There's talk of Everton's manager David Moyes or even the 'chosen one' Jose Mourinho getting the gig.

Moyes will get the gig. To be announced later tonight (English afternoon).
Rumour that Rooney wants to quit as well.

He asked for a transfer a couple weeks back they are saying. Hasn't he got history with Moyes.

Considering he was bought from Everton , then yes
