Well Tuck, Knights will be out, wouldn't mind dropping Nahas as well
Cotch in, Edwards in, White in
-
If Cotch is still sore let him sit it out
-
If Cotch is still sore let him sit it out
Yep.
-
If Cotch is still sore let him sit it out
Yep.
Agreed get him back for Dreamtime.
Next week the only issue will be the margin.
Dreamtime more important.
Knights out for Aaron Edwards
Tuck out for Elton.
-
Id keep cotch out, much needed against ess and WC...vickers and Dea will come in
-
Lets get McBean in to run amok
-
Arrrnnooooottttt
-
Arrrnnooooottttt
Makes Wines look like a school girl. Biggest biceps, crock of poo
-
Grimes can still come back in and Vickery too.
Plethora of quality options. :thumbsup
-
I think Grimesy is still another week away Tucky. IIRC they said 1-2 weeks.
I'd give Ivan a rest next week so he's right for the Dreamtime game. Give Big O the 1st ruck duties again with TV 2nd banana.
Maric -> Vickery
Tuck -> Cotch
Knights -> A.Edwards
Nahas, who should be dropped, may get a reprieve as he's only like-for-like replacement is Whitey and we just dropped Whitey for Nahas. It would be like musical chairs to swap it back after just one week. Similar to what we use to do with the continual swapping of Hyde and Tivendale in and out of the side.
-
I think you are right MT.
Just tantalising that we won without Cotch this week and we have him to come back.
Vickery and Grimes too.
Aaron Edwards is kicking goals for Coburg and showing form and kids like Elton can play also.
Now we need consistency. :yep
-
Would like to see coburgs game first but this is what I think:
If Ivan corncerned about his body, take week off to refresh
Dont rush cotchin back if not necessary
I would normally say play the likes of elton etc/future kids ahead of mcg, azza but Aaron edwards has earnt a spot if only for one week against the dees based on consistent form.
Tucky, my man. Bleeds yellow and black, should sit out this week and rest. Absolute warrior
Leave Nahas in to try and find form this coming week
Having said that
Maric out- vickery in
Knights out - A edwards in
Tuck out- Arnot in
Worst case scenario Chaplin gets cited? Maybe griff for him
-

Don't forget Conca (thanks 65 for the reminder on the other thread) :thumbsup
-
Conca won't be far off either
-
Conca's missed 3 weeks already
They said 4-6 so dreamtime would be the earliest
-
if Conca's injury is a repeat of last years problem ,then I think another 3 weeks is being very optimistic (hope i'm wrong)
-
No game for Coburg this week, which makes it tougher selection wise
OUTS: Knights, Tuck, Nahas
INS: Cotchin (they'll play him right or wrong), Petterd, A Edwards
Would love to see Arnot get a game but because no AFL this week reckon he misses out. They go with seasoned players ;D
-
In Helbig, Edwards and Arnot.
Out Tuck(injured), Knights(injured) & Jackson
Dont believe they should rush in Cotchin.

Nahas - Helbig
Knights - Arnot
Jackson should be dropped. Grigg is questionable. Tuck injury. McGaune not good enough. Nahas too small. Knight injury.
Vs. Melbourne we should be able to blood the next in line and still win by 5+ goals.

I bought Grigg played a great game nullifying Boaks output significantly. I'm not sure if people here have noticed a change of role this year for Shaun this year. He has become a run with tagger.

Wy would jackson be dropped, you didnt like his game on Boak ::)
-
no wonder boak didnt have any impact, he had both Grigg and Jackson tagging him :shh.
Y&B, grigg ran with with Dale Thomas last year and kept him quiet for most of the game. that little bugger runs all day and covers a poo load of ground, so that was a fair effort from Grigg
-
sheesh...I need to watch the games better I have never actually seen Grigg run..... ;D
-
An opportunity to really smash an opposition will be Sunday arvo against the Dees.
Melbourne is near bottom on nearly every key stat and they are absolutely crap so there is absolutely no reason why we can't do what Adelaide just did to GWS and give them a smashing.
We need to make the most of the opportunity to raise our percentage as high as possible as I feel it will be critical towards the later part of the season.
100+ should be our goal as a minimum winning margin.
-

Agree thought Grigg was very good when he was on Boak yesterday. Needed to be because he's been average to poor
-
The dees will be sacking thir coach after today's performance
Interim coaches usually win first games
-
Out: Maric (rest), Tuck, Nahas
In: Vickery, Helbig, Cotchin (if fully fit)
-
Helbig - not sure he is right, didnt play last week for Coburg because of a hammy. Huge doubt I reckon

No less than a 100+ victory.
The way the Dees are traveling any less is a fail.

Go out thinking game's over before the first bounce and it's just a case of how far and then you end scrapping over the line
Same situation as the 2nd time we played them last year, mindset and shocking kicking for goal and we only ended u winning by 5-6 goals.
-

We are capable of losing.
Especially if they decide to sack Neeld this week. :help

Should rest Ivvy, games against Dons & Eagles coming up, & let the Chimp work on his playstation skillz for another week
Out: Knights, Tuck, Maric
In: they'll prob play Petterd against his old side but would prefer my man Matty Dea, Arnot, Vickery
When was the last time we had a 100pt victory?
I can remember the last time we lost a game against a rabble that we shouldn;t have :shh

Probably true if your within the four walls of the club WP but as a member anything less than 100 points will be disappointing.
Plenty of clubs have shown no mercy to us over the years it's time we did the same and added some meat onto our modest percentage.
It's time to start taking the opportunities when they arise and kicking clubs when they are down. This Sunday is one of those days.
Payback for 1997 and 1998 when the Dees beat us when we needed to win.
:gotigers

Understand your point Mr Tigra, but right now for me as a long suffering member I'll just take a win, the margin will take care of itself just like it did on Saturday against Port. :thumbsup
The wins are more far important than the margin.
-
Last time I can remember us thrashing someone was fitzorys last game in Melbourne. nd that might not have been by 100.
We be deserve payback. Wankers like yze. Bruce. White etc. Used to rip us apart.

I like the cut of your Jib Mrak. I'd give him a crack. Despite his lightish frame, he is fierce as hell. :thumbsup

Vickery should be back.

151 and it was quite a sad day actually, but if we do it this week I will have little sympathy as we need a % boost and as much as I kinda pity mel ATM, when you play us you're enemy #1 in my books.
-
Sylvia out
3 weeks for whacking Brennan
See: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-05-13/mrp-statement-round-seven
-
if we play properly we will by 120 points and if we play like prima donnas we will still win but only by 60 points ;D
-
We should be able to easily account for melbourne atm but as WP said if we came out like last year and butcher the ball in front of goal, we will keep them in the game till the final siren.
Important for the players to come out and be intent on shutting down the oppositions supply and getting it into our forward line with precise kicking to our forwards. None of this bomb it long rubbish, thats last resort stuff :banghead
Concentrate on beating your opponent for a full 120 mins and the margin will come after ;)
-
world record shellacking of Melbourne coming up, they will learn what pain is this week

Herald-Sun's Barometer Round 7
RICHMOND
ON THE BLOCK:
A costly trip to Adelaide with Knights and Tuck both gone long-term. Knights had surgery yesterday to repair the patella tendon on his right knee and Tuck went under the knife today to fix a fractured scapula. There were few non-contributors, with Nathan Foley showing some encouraging signs late after starting in the subs vest. Robin Nahas would like a big game soon.
ON THE CUSP:
The fitness testers at Punt Rd will get a workout later in the week. Ricky Petterd and Dylan Grimes remain under a cloud and skipper Cotchin says he expects to face the Demons but he also needs to be given the all-clear by fitness staff. One certainty is Tyrone Vickery will return from the concussion he suffered against Geelong. If Ty is fit, can he, Ivan Maric and Orren Stephenson all fit in the same team? The Big O would be stiff to get the axe after playing a key role at AAMI Stadium.
AL PATON’S FORECAST:
The outlook is suddenly a lot rosier after dispatching of fellow finals aspirant Port Adelaide in clinical fashion. The Tigers can’t say it but Sunday’s clash about Melbourne is all about warming up for a massive Dreamtime showdown against the Bombers the following week. Richmond should be 5-3 going into that game and the Dons are likely to be 7-1. Book your seat early.

In the Mix - Round 8
RICHMOND
Trent Cotchin (knee) and Tyrone Vickery (concussion) are expected to return to face the Demons after missing the Tigers' win over Port Adelaide. A decision on Ricky Petterd (calf) and Dylan Grimes (foot) will be made later in the week after both didn't play on the weekend. Chris Knights (knee) is out for the season after tearing his patella tendon against the Power while Shane Tuck (scapula) will miss six to eight weeks after undergoing surgery on Monday. Ivan Maric, who entered the game with a sore ankle, pulled up ok as did Nathan Foley. - Jennifer Phelan
MELBOURNE
Melbourne couldn't be any nearer to rock bottom following a dismal 10-goal loss to Gold Coast. To make matters worse, one of their most talented players, Colin Sylvia, will be sitting on the sidelines for three weeks after accepting his suspension from the Match Review Panel. It might be time for Mark Neeld to reintroduce top draft pick Jimmy Toumpas, particularly after a best afield 26-possession effort a fortnight ago. Sam Blease may also be called upon, while the placement of Jack Grimes on the long-term injury list opens the door for rookie James Magner. - Ben Guthrie

They may come up with a new stat or stats to help Melbourne win a stat this week with Princess Jacqui back. :help
Look out for these on the scoreboard at 1/4, half, 3/4 and full time.
SBG. Soft ball gets
SBR. Soft ball receives
STT. Sh1tscared to tackle
STC. Sh1tscared to compete.
SOIT. Subbed off in third.
SSFP. Still single figure possessions
SBPT. Should be playing tennis
