Yes it does. What a stuffing disgrace. Bunch of dirty snipers who has umpire protection all over. Why the stuff did Vickers not peg the ball into McBurney's face. Let's be honest Vickers that's exactly who you were angry at. Just bloody do it. :lol
-
The Melbourne runner also grabbed Kingy by the jumper to try and pull him off McKenzie.

King should have got up and smashed his face in
-
Runner is in trouble (will get a reprimand ;D) as they are not allowed to touch opposition players
-
Runner must have thought that when Melbourne were instructed to play the man and not the ball that it was directed at him too.

Life ban

Jakey King could have broken his ankle and had his illustrious career cut short because of this. If Jakey had tried to stand up with this guy on his ankle he could have broken it. Its a stuffen disgrace. $20,000 for this joker and his club should lose draft picks.
-
King should have put him in a sleeper hold. Possibly would have been the funniest thing I've ever seen at AFL level. McKenzie's head looks ready to burst. :lol

Life ban

Who was the runner for Melbourne?
When Howe took his screamer over Dunn, the Melbourne runner was in the middle of the 50 area and Vickery signalled to the umpire that he was in the way.
Ellis also got a free kick for the runner being too close to the action.
Maybe Neeld was using him to make the game look even more congested than it already was.

Pretty ordinary, hope the MRP look at this!!! :P :P

Just watching a replay of AFL360 - the incident with the runner standing on Kingy is being investigated by the AFL, it doesn't fall under the MRP umbrella hence why nothing about it in this arvo's list of reports/penalties
Gerrard said it's being investigated and sould be resolved sometime tomorrow with a penalty being handed out

Give the scumbag a life ban no place for a trainer to be assaulting opposition players in any sport. Throw the book at this individual. No need for it in sport.:wallywink

On a side note, could King have been sanctioned in terms of games if he got up and snotted the germ?
-
Demetriou on Footy Classified tonight said the Melbourne runner stepping on Jake King incident has been referred to AFL Football Operations Managers Mark Evans to deal with. Demetriou said he didn't like what happened.

Just chuck the fine on their 'I.O.U' tab with everything else they can't afford to pay at the moment.

Demons runner steps into trouble

The AFL has launched an investigation into why Melbourne runner Andrew Nichol trod on the foot of Richmond's Jake King during a half-time melee at the MCG on Sunday.
While the Tigers did not call for any action, the AFL match-day manager asked for a probe.
''Yes, we are looking into it. There won't be a resolution today, so it will either be tomorrow or Wednesday that we will have a decision,'' AFL spokesman Patrick Keane said on Monday.
''A runner can't touch an opposition player in any circumstances, and all officials should stay out of any contact between rival players.''

King was wrestling with Melbourne's Jordie McKenzie when Nichol stepped on King's left ankle as he tried to pull the young Demon free. Both players were fined for engaging in a melee.

Or better yet, make him a listed Melbourne player and force him to play the rest of their rabble of a season in the Back line. No better penalty than being put at Hell's coalface. ;D

Dees fined for runner’s stance

THE AFL has fined Melbourne $2000 for the actions of runner Andrew Nichol, who stood on the foot of Richmond's Jake King during Sunday's half-time melee between the two sides.
Nichol, who is also the Demons' backline development coach, became involved in the feisty altercation when he tried to impede King, who was busy wrestling Demon midfielder Jordie McKenzie.
AFL Football Operations boss Mark Evans said a club runner may not make contact with an opposition player.
Under AFL regulations, a club runner is allowed to enter the field "for the sole purpose of conferring briefly with the players of his club (and) … must then immediately leave the playing surface", and may not interact with opposition players or the umpires at any time.
King was fined $2100 for his part in the melee, while McKenzie accepted his $1600 sanction for a first offence in engaging in a melee.

I love that McKenzie got choked to death and cops a $1600 for his trouble. Hope his widower can fork that sort of coin out. :shh
