Pathetic. Lonergan has done nothing to deserve a game. What happened to rewarding players for playing well ?! Pathetic.

Pleased to see Lonergan make his Tiger debut against his old mob. Hope he tears them a new one.
Not pleased to see McGuane retain his spot. Has done nothing for three weeks. To really improve we need to upgrade on battlers like him and Jackson. Elton, A. Edwards or even Stephenson would have been better options IMO.

We keep playing one to two talls less than we should. Especially down back we struggle against resting rucks and tall forwards. We were lucky Gawn couldn't kick last Sunday. Won't have the same luxury with Ryder and Bellchambers.
Would have rewarded Arnot as he has had a far better season than Lonergan. I thought you had to earn your senior position?

Is Lonergan even fit? He's been in and out of rehab all preseason and has only played a couple of games back for Coburg. Arnott unlucky

Sheesh Lonergan. Only got the gig because it is his old side.
Will either be a master stroke or a complete flop.
Will be happy for him to have a game like Andrew Browne did in Dreamtime 2011.

White, Jackson and Lonergan are all a similar type of player-low skill set, dour. It appears we have gone in with a very defence oriented team.

Jackson is a defending (not meaning he plays in defence) tagger, they are not the same.

Spot on Yellow and Black. We should have given McGuane the flick, retained Stephenson, and had the luxury of either he or Maric dropping back on the resting ruckman, while the other goes forward.

Wouldn't surprise if there is a late change

McGuane supposedly had a sore knee after last week, perhaps he might not come up and A Edwards will get a go

You have competely misunderstood the post. Are you trying to say that White, Jackson and Lonergan are highly skilled or attacking players? They all tag and are supposed to be known for their defensive qualities.

They mentioned on League Teams last night that this is our most experienced team (average 60 games per player) that we have fielded since 2001.

I don't necessarily disagree with you (Lonergan had 14 ineffective kicks for Coburg last week from 19 kicks) but in saying that White will be the sub, Jacko the tag on Watson and Lonergan is in to replace Tucky's role given at times last weekend with a Tuck-less midfield we struggled with Melbourne first to the footy and winning the centre clearances. Maric back should hopefully help on that latter front as well as the Big O was soundly beaten in the ruck last week so mids weren't being fed the ball.
