I agree. 8 point game.

Sam Fishers foot is stuffed :shh

60+ winning margin
Jack will kick min of 6 and take the lead in the coleman
-
We really should pump this mob. Hope we are more ruthless than we were against the dogs.
-
No Stephen Milne should make it an easier affair?
Hardly had an impact the last two times we have played him. Steven Morris.
Keep Nick Riewoldt quiet and we should be fine anyway. :thumbsup
-
Must win game
Absolutely Chucky!
You don't come out with these big statements very often, so when you do we should all stand up and take notice!
Dare we say a 12 point game?
-

Hopefully they have a let down after the tumultuous week with the milestones and Milne.
All signs do lead to this Tony given their win loss record and their recent record at the G complemented by their win loss ratio for this year.
Just to make it easier hopefully McEvoy misses also.

All games are must win. This upcoming game is no exception.
If we are a finals side we should knock them off.
Go Tigers.

SUMMARY
After three straight wins, the Tigers – and their army – are on the march. With September firmly in their sights for the first time since 2001, the Tigers celebrated a commanding 60-point win over the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night that catapulted them to sixth on the ladder. Meanwhile, the Saints are at the opposite end of the table at 15th although their 35-point win over Melbourne on Saturday gave fans something to cheer about after a challenging week off-field. It was their third win for the season after earlier beating Greater Western Sydney and Carlton.
WHERE AND WHEN: MCG, Sunday June 30, 4.40pm
TV AND RADIO: Click here for broadcast guide and odds (http://www.afl.com.au/tv-radio/broadcast-guide)
LAST FIVE TIMES
Rd 2, 2013, Richmond 14.15 (99) d St Kilda 12.10 (82) at the MCG
Rd 10, 2012, Richmond 18.13 (121) d St Kilda 16.17 (113) at Etihad Stadium
Rd 2, 2011, St Kilda 13.17 (95) drew Richmond 14.11 (95) at the MCG
Rd 21, 2010, St Kilda 17.13 (115) d Richmond 14.10 (94) at Etihad Stadium
Rd 11, 2010, St Kilda 14.13 (97) d Richmond 8.11 (59) at Etihad Stadium
THE SIX POINTS
1. Richmond's Nick Vlastuin is having some kind of a first year. He won a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination for his 23-disposal game in round seven against Port Adelaide and has played every game since his round five debut. He's been steadily climbing in the Official AFL Player Ratings as well – he held an overall position of 636th in the competition after his first game but is now 480th with eight games under his belt.
2. Richmond defeated St Kilda earlier this season in round two at the MCG by 17 points with Jack Riewoldt booting seven goals. The Tigers have won the past two contests between the sides.
3. Riewoldt's record against the Saints is impressive; he's kicked 30 goals in just eight games, including 15 in their past two meetings.
4. St Kilda used to dominate Richmond. From 2003 to 2011, the Saints won 13 of 15 clashes between the sides. This will be the 177th head-to-head with Richmond holding a clear advantage of 104 wins to 69 with three draws, including one in 2011.
5. At the MCG, there have been 31 previous meetings with 20 wins to eight in the Tigers' favour, as well as three draws.
6. Richmond hasn't defeated St Kilda twice in the same season since 2000, and the Tigers – despite their recent wins - continue to be the worst tackling side in 2013 with an average of 53.4 per game to St Kilda's 59.2 per game, which leaves the Saints ranked 15th in the competition in that area.

Looks like the Saints are starting to put the cue in the rack for 2013. Sam Fisher will go in for toe surgery ending his season, so he won't be back this week to play against us.
-
Could Fred Fannings record be under threat this week?
Azza Edwards could be about to explode!!!
-
if Jake King takes a hanger in the goal square and actually sticks the mark I would die a happy man.
-
Time to pay them back with a 100 point belting.
Do it Tiges :shh®
Fat chance pops
-
Im expecting a standard 4 to 6 goal win for the Tiges. Thats the normal state of affairs these days and its not a bad way to have it either IMHO.
-
Agree it is a must win game. Must bring the same intensity that we played against Adelaide. Even though the bulldogs beat St. Kilda I rate St. Kilda as a better team than the bulldogs. If we are serious about playing finals we need to dipose of teams like St Kilda in a clinical fashion.
-

lol. He can certainly get up there but he always looks so surprised he seems to panic and drops it. ;D

Hayes to help Saints stop Tigers
By AAP .
27 June 2013 01:51PM EST
ST KILDA are hoping the likely AFL return of veteran midfielder Lenny Hayes has a trickle-down effect that stops the surge of Richmond dangerman Jack Riewoldt in their MCG clash on Sunday.
The gun forward has almost single-handedly put the Saints to the sword in their last two AFL meetings, kicking a total of 15 goals.
“Jack has been a thorn in our side, no doubt,” said St Kilda coach Scott Watters.
“We need to have a look at what sort of options we’ve got to apply pressure.
“Ultimately it always comes down to what sort of midfield pressure you apply as well, and the type of supply that he’s getting, but he’s certainly been a player that’s caused us a lot of trouble over the last three or four years.”
Their cause hasn’t been helped this week with the loss of defender Sam Fisher, who required season-ending toe surgery.
Hayes hasn’t played since Round 9 in late May due to a hamstring injury but is tipped to make a comeback on Sunday afternoon.
Watters said that Hayes still had to get through training before he was given the green light, and if he didn’t come up for the Tigers, could play for their VFL club Sandringham.
“We’d be really hopeful that Lenny plays this week,” he said.
The young Saints have missed his on-field leadership, and his return is key with the Tigers’ midfield one of the best in the competition.
“They’re a very talented side,” Watters said.
“I think five or six of their midfielders are top-10 draft picks and probably four or five of them are top-five draft picks, so merely looking at the talent, it’s a great challenge for our group.”
Watters said his team had taken confidence from their 35-point win over Melbourne after a tumultuous week that saw veteran Stephen Milne stood down from playing after being charged with rape.
The coach didn’t want to expand on Milne apart from saying he was “coping well”.
Ruckman Ben McEvoy, who got a head knock against the Demons, looked strong at training at Seaford and is set to take his place in the side.

In the HS they are reporting that Vlaustin will be out of the side due to injury. Hopefully Arnot will finally, and justifiably make his debut.

Arnot or Dea for mine

From Sky News....
St Kilda coach Scott Watters this week pinpointed Riewoldt as the player who must be curtailed if the Saints are to add to their three wins for the season.
But with defenders Sam Fisher injured and Tom Simpkin suspended, Riewoldt's likely opponent James Gwilt will be short of crucial support.
Hardwick believes St Kilda's struggles this season don't tell the full tale of what a decent side they are.
'The 3-9 they're on isn't a reflection of how they're playing,' Hardwick said.
'They beat a good side in Carlton, lost on the last kick against West Coast, we just beat them last time.
'They're a side that's a lot better than their record suggests.'

Well I hope they focus so much on Jack that Edwards kicks about 7, Martin could end up with 5-6 out this too, then we have Vickery.....

Today's umpires:
Jeff Dalgleish (7)
Stuart Wenn (22)
Nick Foot (25)

Saints with two goals, Tiges 2 points.....

It's the Melbourne game all over again.
No hardness, no run, no spread.
Play this lollypop poo if we don't want to play finals footy tiger.
stuffin' lay a tackle and make it stick!
-
Got to hand it to Lockup playing very well at the minute.
:thumbsup
9 disposals 6 marks 2 inside 50s
:clapping :clapping
-
Did the AFL cancel the dropping/holding the ball rule during the week?
-
only 7 tackles that quarter, sums up the lack of intensity.

This.
We need to lift. Today could be a good % booster.
-
Vickery can go and get a few games at coburg to get a lesson what it means to earn the right to play in this jumper.
Gets a reversal free kick given against him and then fails to contest the ruck throw in which results in an easy clearance & a shot at goal for the saints.
Stupid arrogant selfish!
-
In a low tackling game, Arnott has come in for his debut and already had an impact laying the most tackles in the game.

Great quarter from Matty.
-
The whole team certainly upped the pressure and the results came.
With the umps on our side we could be in for a very very big win.
We've got to keep up this intensity.
Lockup killing it. :thumbsup
16 disp. 9 marks. 1 goal.

Less than 50 tackles Mr Tigra
-
Who won the Ian Stewy?
Looked like no-one got it cause the saints stuffed off after the siren like pussies
What a rabble
-
But worried about the slow start. Hawks and Sydney could have piled on 3 or 4 goals at the start if we came out against them today. Reckon the rest was decent though. Shame about the rain, probably only thing that stopped it being 80 points. They kept us under 100 points last time so good effort despite them missing their backline making it a little easier. :cheers
-
Less than 50 tackles Mr Tigra
What's your point HRT?
-
Was anyone else getting annoyed with Dwayne Russell's commentary.
After years of kicking us when we were down , this flog is desperately trying to jump on the band wagon.
The Tiger Train is full Dwayne .
-
Tigers have now won 14 of their last 16 qtrs of football.
Margin average of 8 goals.
The consistency of our past month - albeit against mediocre opposition - has been impressive
-
Got the job done. Worked way back into game in first quarter when St Kilda up and about. Great 2nd quarter. Could and should have won by more. Jack missed some really gettable goals. Cotch played well. Thought Rance, Chapman, Houli and Morris were good. Jackson and the Big O played well. Aarron Edwards had his best game for the club. King in the first half was very good. Arnot had a good game. Decision by umpire regarding deliberate was disgraceful

After years of kicking us when we were down , this flog is desperately trying to jump on the band wagon.
The Tiger Train is full Dwayne .
I think he has known where the club was heading for the past few years now, hasn't just jumped on once we started winning.
He is definitely glad that a powerhouse of the AFL is finally returning, he referred to us in the 70's being the most dominant team in the AFL and he hopes we can return to that because it's just better for the AFL
