The AFL will support Melbourne snare premiership coach Paul Roos

THE AFL will support Melbourne's multi-million dollar bid for Paul Roos even if it makes him the highest-paid coach in football.
The Sydney premiership coach again refused to rule himself out yesterday.
Industry sources said the Demons would need to pay him more than $1 million a season, which would be bankrolled in part by the AFL.

Getting pretty sick of this. AFL paying for coaches, paying for players like Buddy to go to GWS, how is this even fair?
What was the point of trying to get out of the red when we could have just asked the AFL to keep us going? Eff off.

Still what sort of a farce of a competition is this.
Effectively we have two new franchises who have had every available resource given to them with a silver spoon and platter to boot and we have the oldest club in the history of Aussie Rules getting financial off field assistance to help them regain some respectability. Surely there has to be some sort of responsibility taken by the Dees and they have to take their medicine. Effectively minus the priority pick they are like a new franchise off the field with all the AFL handouts despite their financial mismanagement.
