RICHMOND
ON THE BLOCK: Shane Tuck will be a nervous man this week. Recalled for his first game since 7, Tuck was handy but was handed the subs vest late against the Swans. His replacement Matt Arnot picked up nine touches but will be in discussions if Damien Hardwick wants to make changes. The other worry is Ivan Maric, who was smashed by Shane Mumford and spent a lot of time up forward – is that groin injury troubling him again?
ON THE CUSP: Robin Nahas is pushing hard for a recall but his case won’t be helped if Jake King recovers from a hamstring injury that forced him out of the trip to Sydney. Coburg suffered a 10-goal loss to the Northern Blues in the VFL and was hit by a string of injuries, with Aaron Edwards ending the day on crutches. He and Matt Dea (shoulder) will have scans today, while Ben Griffiths and Brett O’Hanlon both visited hospital after copping high knocks but are expected to play next weekend. The best news was the return of injury-cursed defender Dylan Grimes, who played a half in the VFL seconds and took seven marks and had 14 disposals.
AL PATON’S FORECAST: The scoreboard wasn’t kind to the Tigers, who were very competitive for most of their clash against Sydney. But the Swans’ extra work rate, polish and system exposed the difference between the top three teams and the rest. We’ll find out how quickly Richmond can close that gap when it faces a red-hot Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday. Alex Rance did a brilliant job on Buddy last year and he’ll need to again, and Steven Morris will have to repeat his shut-down of Cyril Rioli. That leaves Troy Chaplin to take Jarryd Roughead. But the game will be won in the middle where the Tigers desperately need Maric to get his hands on the ball first.

Can't see much sense in Arnott as the sub, need his hardness at the start of the game
-
End the Mcbean farce....give the kid a go.

Do hawks use tagger and if so who?
Really need lids to stand up and break the tags, his input is key
Dimma and co need to be accountable for this too, cant just send him in there expecting to not be tagged or to just beat them. Needs to research and be methodical in his tactics. He is the bloody coach

RICHMOND - In the Mix
The medical staff will be busy this week with Jake King (hamstring), Matt Dea (shoulder), Aaron Edwards (shin) and Ty Vickery, Brett O'Hanlon and Ben Griffiths (concussion) needing fitness tests. Ricky Petterd (groin) will miss, Matt Arnot (back) is out for the year and Vickery is unlikely to come up, and Tigers could look towards Luke McGuane as the latter's replacement given he didn't play VFL on Sunday and was an emergency for the senior team. Matt McDonough and Robin Nahas were good in the VFL while David Astbury is reportedly close to earning a recall. Dylan Grimes will play in the VFL again after getting through a half for the reserves on the weekend. - Jennifer Phelan
