It makes his 2011 season look all that much unattainable.
Looks slower every year and becomes more petulant with every week.
Fwd line functioned in a less psychologically cluttered way in his absence.
Proof his "instructions" evolve completely around him.
Lining up from set shots is a no certainty either.
Considering this bloke is the supposed leader of our finishing end of the ground, it really is no surprise his lackluster finishing has curbed the enthusiasm of the midfield that deliver to him.
I'm aware of the reasoning he has been playing a more team orientated role this year but since when should that interfere with ones main role - presenting as a target, holding grabs instead of appealing for umpire intervention and converting the majority of shots he has?

A bit hard to be critical of him if his number of total score involvements have gone up this year - goals kicked and goal assists. I agree about his kicking. Nowhere near as accurate or as powerful as other years. I think his hips are not allowing him to kick through the ball.

To be honest, I don't think any of our big guns had a good 2013.
The game plan and improvements from lesser lights certainly helped us.
Imagine 2014 with Jack in 2010 form, Cotch, Maric and Deledio in 2013 form, Dustin getting a big wake-up call from this saga and having his best pre-season ever, continued improvement from Vlastuin, Ellis and Conca. Throw in Adams :pray, McBean marking everything and kicking 175 goals and McDonough, Arnot and Helbig all forcing their way into the side, whoa :shh

Settle down Gerard. :shh

Have to agree with Jack's kicking
Accuracy wise it was below standard
And he was lucky to be able to kick 40 metres this season.
Think he improved in other areas especially in the defensive pressure inside 50 stakes.
-
A full forward should be the most selfish player on the ground ,Jack was not,he was trying to be the touchy feely all inclusive type of guy..........P that right off jack, thats not what full forwards do
-
A player l don't like watching. Fair dinkum pull ya head in Rewoldt. your embarrassing to watch.
looking for free kicks while the defence is running the ball out 1 man down. Midfielders break their back to send the ball in, Only for you to watch it go out. Trade the sooky bitch :thumbsup
-
10/10 tigeriffic :gotigers

You think people sooking about Schultz is bad imagine Reiwoldt sitting on our players heads :lol

Ya know the scary good thing about jack, is he had a terrible year, that's right and still kicked 60. Imagine when he has an ok to good year, like whoa, thats called u n s t o p p a b l e :shh
-
He had one really good year in 2010. Average since.
I want more competitiveness from him.
-
Everyone was kissing his ass this year before he got injured
-
is slowly being ground into the dust with injuries and weight of numbers . desperately needs decent support from the other so called gun forward.
-
He s an undersized key forward that in the modern era is finding it even harder to get the necessary space to get a run at it....talls like Daniher and Mcbean will be the way of the future with the luxury of jr8 in the pocket, #waytogotigers :shh
-
Suffers from the richo rule
Gets rough calls every time the ball is remotely in his area
Isn't paired free kicks 99% of AFL players would in the identical instance
-
Very harshly judged because he's not a robot.
Had an average year. Not a bad one though. Sets up more goals than he kicks these days.
-
Also signed for way less than his market value which tells you two things:
1. He's a loyal tiger.
2. Other clubs rate him.
-
Before he lost some weight he would outmuscle everyone. He'll always be slow so he might as well put on 3-5kg
-
He can play good football. The only thing l don't like about him is he spends too much time sooking to the umpires when he should be helping his team mates keep the ball in the F50. l also don't like the fact he has several opponents on him. When we should be going to the other forwards, McGoofy, Edwards, Vickery, or the resting forwards. Richmond aint the only team that seems to get out numbered in 2 on 1 contests but team mates kick to the out numbered player.

You may be right G. I remember in the 1980 Grand Final where David Cloke was running into an open goal with the only pressure coming from Roachy who was right on his hip almost trying to pinch the ball off him before he got the chance to kick the goal. One of the few goal scoring movements in the match that didn't involve KB who as we all know was a greedy as hell.
I think its okay too for Full Forwards to be selfish, but they've got to be able to convert. I think Jack probably knew he was not kicking well and to avoid criticism, decided to play more of a team game. Probably a smart move if you ask me.
-
He needs to sort out his attitude apart from that I would rate his season 6/10.
Personally I think Edwards has a better attitude.
-
shame Edwards is a significantly lesser player

l reckon A. Edwards is a better footballer & could kick more goals if left in Jack's position for the year. reckon some of his efforts in keeping the ball in the forward 50 were very good at times. he also created goals. good pickup considering l thought it was a very bad choice by the club to get the bad boy. Well he was a bad boy but produced on the field. never was a favourite at North.

I agree 100%, it is all about opportunity and JR isn't making the most of his and is relying on his 2 colemans reputation.
As most PDS's say, past performance is no guarantee of future earnings.
JR is a petlant sook and needs a kick up his jacksy

What his 5th? place finish in the coleman along with his most assists in the AFL this year (exclude finals) and his 3rd place in 2011 is just relying on his "2 colemans reputation"? Been a gun for the past 4 years and gets a bad rap
-
Poor attitude/demeanour.
Spot on about A Edwards. The bloke just gets on with the job, no matter how raw his cards are.
-
Some absolute nut job opinions in here, must be school holidays
Top handful in the Coleman, #1 in comp for goal assists
Very very solid season and thank **** he plays for Richmond
-
what....getting on the job with not kicking very getable goals in the elimination final??
-
Most annoying thing about Riewoldt is when he cracks it and tells everyone else what to do. He also acts like he is the only key forward who occasionally gets manhandled. Should watch the Geelong v Port semi and see what poo umpiring and dirty defending is all about ;D Riewoldt gets looked after so not sure why he's always sooking when a defender is actually handing his arse to him. Could always just work a bit harder to get back in the game.
Overall though I thought he was good this year and his efforts were better than previous seasons
-
I feel very much the same as I did with Richo as with Jack. Frustrated that he could be so much more. Different reasons they do that to me but both often have me heading to the nearest wall. :banghead
Please Please Please Jack stop the apealing to the umps and put the preasure on the defence. THEY DONT CHANGE THIER DECISIONS MATE.
