Title: Official Tiger De-Listings
Post by: WilliamPowell on October 04, 2013, 11:45:24 AM
We haven't announced any yet but when we need a thread for it  ;D

BTW can anyone tell me what the rules are regarding de-listings?

Do we have to make any de-listings before the Trade period or can we wait until the Trade & FA periods are closed?

I think after the trade period. That way if you shop a player and no one wants him then you can de list him.

yeah thought that might be the case

It's just this season there only seems to be a coupleof clubs of which we are one that haven't annunced any de-listings yet

Maybe they are the clubs that are going to be active during free agency but not during the trade period?

To my knowledge WP, each club has to free up a minimum of 3 spots on their senior list prior to Oct 31.

So the confirmed departures so far are:-

Matt White,
Luke McGuane,
Tucky - retired

Any others yet?

Who remains unsigned?

Could we assume, head/chopping block if you are unsigned?

Dea heading to Brazil with 8 other Tigers as part of Richmond FC program. We wouldn't be sending him as a Club representative if he was going to be delisted.

So all that leaves Derickx and Nahas.

Reckon it won't be until after the trade period is over.

They don't have to announce anything until 31 October

According to the AFL website's "trade machine", Tiger supporters are happy to trade away ...

Nahas     90%
McGuane 85%
Derickx    83%
White     76%
Helbig     75%
Dea        64%
O'Hanlon 63%
Astbury  59%

Every other Tiger had a >50% keep (<50% trade) vote.

Dea, O'Hanlon and Astbury should get more time but Helbig must be on the cusp unless he improves dramatically next year. Was he injured at all?

Yes, he was.

Helbig was drafted a year after Deea. And yet he shouldnt be granted extra time to improve?

Why not? Collingwood gave the arse to several players 35 seconds after they lost to Port. And their delisted players have actually been quality players at the top level. Ours will be poo players. Just announce 'em eh
