Did anyone else find they repeated similar questions in this year's members' survey?

Just the other day I completed a supporters survey that was sent to me.All pretty much par for the course stuff except one bit which kinda makes me feel a little cheesed off to be honest.The survey asked if I have considered leaving a bequest to RFC.I know sporting bodies need and want funds to function and to move forward but to ask supporters who in the main give and give and give seems somewhat a little beyond the normal club, supporter/member relationship.If I want to leave the club something when I cark it then I will,i don't really want the club to prompt me in this area..Anyway that's just my take on it

Its a popular strategy that started amongst the not for profit organisations. i dont agree with it

I wouldn't read too much into that, merely provoking some thought, for some they would rest easier beqesting to the RFC than members of their own family. Ea to their own, no more or less food for thought :shh

Essendon would just take your money and say you left a bequest to them. :shh

Essendon would just take your money and say you left a bequest to them. :shh
Essendon have to do that, how else could they afford to get all their awesomeness drugs :gobdrop :police: r watchin ;D

* Richmond was rated number one in the AFL for overall member service, recording the highest score of all clubs, since the survey started 10 years ago.
* Very high scores for Club communications, in particular the Club website and social media channels.

* There was negative feedback about the Club’s handling of finals ticketing, which has been taken seriously. Steps have already been made to ensure that Richmond improves in this area in the future.
Ticketek's fault ::)
* Results indicated that providing value for interstate members continues to be a challenge, and the Club is always looking at ways to improve this service, ensuring that interstate members feel as much a part of the Richmond Football Club as Victorian members.

Tiketek meltdown would have been the catalyst for the ill feeling, there's no platform in the free world that could accommodate 70,000 people trying to purchase tickets within a 10 minute period ::)

More to it than the Ticketek side of things bj17 that upset people

See above, more to people's dissatisfaction than Ticketek ;)

Don't get me started on this or the lack of a membership category for those people who cannot get to any games.....
Wonder if the Club got the feedback (negative) on that topic from the survey, not they seem to be too concerned about it :-\

The club did a pretty good job of informing the members at finals time, there was a finals hub if I recall , at end of day, ticketing is out of RFC hands

Not disputing that finals ticketing at the end of the day is out of the control of the Club but as I said it wasn't just the ticketek meltdown that upset people.
There was more to it than that.
People bought certain types of memberships in some cases based on what benefits they would get a finals time. When it came to finals time those benefits were not available. That's not the fault of Ticketek that is the fault of the Club.

We do that so we can get baseline data and compare to the years previous.

Does the club have an "honour type board" for those who leave say a minimum of $50,000 when they pass on. If the club had a board somewhere in the reception area showing the names of people who left the club at least $50.000 then maybe more people would leave the club something.

yes I know and looking at it further you could have memorial categories you could name them after deceased Richmond players
$250,000+ Roy Wright Memorial List (Brownlow Medallist)
$100,000-$249,999 - Vic Thorp Memorial List (Premiership Player)
$50,000-$99,999 - Basil McCormack Memorial List (Premiership Player)
$20,000-$49,999 - Martin Bolger Memorial List (Premiership Player)
10,000 or Above - Jack Baggot Memorial List (Premiership Player)
Have a nice glass type board on one wall and give people the chance to know if they leave a decent amount of money behind then there names will go on the wall forever as contributors who loved the club so much they put the club in their will. People wont leave nothing if theres no recognition IMHO.

The issue with ticketek was the ridiculously short timeout period they had. If you selected a category that was full or that only had crappy/limited seats left then there was no time left to choose alternative tickets from another category; then once you got timed out, you went to the back of the queue again.
