Who do you think is the toughest/most courageous player(s) of the last 13 years?
Rory Hilton top of the list for mine.
-
Crunch ball Rory
-
Cogs
-
Wayne Campbell by a mile
-
Deledio and cotchin not soft.
I'm not sold the 90s lot were significant tougher
-
Jack Rewoldt :ROTFL
Duncan Kellaway taking Nathan Buckley to the cleaners & finishing him off by knocking him out :clapping
Tim Fleming. If he ever copped one he would give 2 back. Flew the flag in a group of Squibs. :fencing
Chicken Act goes to Joel Bowden against the maggot-pies instead of going the fist he got the ball & threw it to a maggot-pie. Something that burned into me skull. & l'm a huge Bowden supporter :cutetiger

Another one was where he turned his back on an all in, can't remember the game but I think it was in his last year
-
David Bourke
-
Greg Stafford from back in the day and Kingy from the current crop

That was the same game. Shane Tuck and a few others also decided to play football instead of brawl, are those guys squibs too? Save the brawling for when we're the side up by 10 goals.
Greg Stafford from back in the day and Kingy from the current crop
Yiew Staff. He was one of my favourties, his battles with Spider were brilliant. Dangerous unit.
Cogs
Yeah he was a beauty. The Kellaways were fearless too. Rance very courageous
-
Paul Broderick for me, although he only retired in 2001. Mark Chaffey I thought was tough too. I was pretty young when those two guys played the most of their football, but I remember them being my favourites.
Otherwise strongly agree with Staff (loved how he dropped the knees in), Hilton (brave), Coughlan (real pity), Bowden (always going back with the flight), Kellaway brothers, oh and of course Richo although he wasn't a dirty/imposing player IMO he was very brave/tough.
-
Stevie Morris from today mob.
-
Chaplin, McMahon, Tom Roach top 3 for mine
-
Oakley-Nicholls, loved his perseverance in the storm of bloggers hate against him
-
Chaplin, McMahon, Tom Roach top 3 for mine
Tom Roach, told me Saints were going to pick him up after he was delisted. :lol
-
Jordan McMahon and Shane Edwards tied.
Brett Deledio just behind.
-
Chaplin, McMahon, Tom Roach top 3 for mine
I forgot about Chappy. He is the definition of courage. Not sure about Jordy though
-
Stevie Morris from today mob.
Have to agree, Steve Morris is not only our bravest and toughest soldier but nearly the leagues IMO.
I haven't seen many blokes go harder than Steven at the footy.

l only went back several years, we have had some tough players but here laid the problem.
(example) if a Richmond player landed a tuff hit he would front the tribunal & we always got shafted. If it was any other team that laid the exact hit, They would get off.
Steven Morris would be in my side anyday. excellent tuff player :thumbsup
-

Jordy was brave. Tough being an Indian and looking like a Mexican in this world. Probably wanted to work in IT and instead gets asked for drugs and tacos.
-
Yep Stevie Morris hands down. Toughest Tiger man since Scotty Turner. Had this thread been from 1999, Scotty would have been the man. :thumbsup

Agree would have been inundated with soft porn roles non stop......very distracting
-
Pre 2000 Kellaway, Broderick or Tony Free. Presently Morris

:lol
There are no tough players anymore. It's not allowed but geez we've had a few over time.
Old timers Dyer , Mopsy , Balme and Ricky Mclean would be the toughest.
80s and 90s had Malthouse , Weightman , Barry Young , Tony Free , Scott Turner and madman Andy Goodwin.
Nothing since 2000.
Best I could come up with would be Graham Polak. Dude headbutted a tram ffs !
The only other I could think of would be Billy Nicholls. Crappiest of players and not so tuff back then but he's in jail now so he must be tough hey ?
-
I think we have had a lot of blokes with same level of courage/toughness. Still think Rory is top of the list. He did some scary things to himself.
What was that chant? Rory Hilton he's a tough ....(unforgivable C word)!
-
LOL I held off coming into this thread til it built up some steam aahhh new you guys wouldn't let me down
What about snake, I remember he used to rough em up a bit and layed a beautiful shoulder throw on someone in the goal square once.

Rory Hilton top of the list for mine.
Ha ha. This thread won't last long. Hilarious.
:lol :clapping
-
I do miss Flemming.
Jordan McMahon and Shane Edwards tied.
Brett Deledio just behind.
How many times can you name Deledio has pulled out of a contest?
-
dotto edwards.
It takes more courage to win a clearance when you are built like him than when you are built like a tank.
-
Brett Evans...played the last of his 28 games in 2000.
I win. Go me.

Are you still sooking over the elimination final? Move on with your life. Either that or maybe you need to get a length of rope and go to the shed..

lets hope the club doesnt share your view or we will be stuffed again next year
-
What is it with you negative spast!cs? You quote a question and then call it a view. Go back to school :lol
What is my view danielle? "stuffed again next year" :lol Played finals for the first time since 2001 and we were "stuffed" this year apparently :lol
-
Nothing since 2000.
Would you say that to Jake King's face in a nightclub after he has had a few drinks 8)
Paul Broderick was a good mention, the Kellaway brothers. Great memories of Tim Fleming, Billy Nicholls and Brett Evans all belting up their more talented opponents right in front of us adoring members in the outer, good on them :clapping

Jim Jess. Will play footy until he is dead. Checkmate.

Once worked with a bloke that played state junior footy and oft commented Rory Hilton was best player he played with, tar rant, Solomon, Nathan brown were others in the side :shh
-
Toughest was Mark Jacko Jackson in the reserves at Arden street one day he ran from full forward to stuff & had a almighty brawl. Then the Arden street bar erupted into a full on brawl. Thats football at it best. Burned into my skull. Roach kicked 100 goals that afternoon ;D

Drafted at #3 was Rory. That dudes comment wasn't fair off the mark. Injuries ruined him. If he played like Travis Johnstone he would have played 250 games
