Why would Port drift in the odds?
Beat Collingwood in a final at the 'G, don't recall any massive injuries.

I think most "experts" consider that Port over achieved this season so would expect them to fall back to their rightful position next season.
-
Port under-achieved in previous years partly due to injuries but mainly due to having a poor coach. Fully expect them to still be there or thereabouts next season.

Lol North are 5th favourites? Lmaoooo

Why are the bummers so low? They have been improving every year. Are people gambling they aren't going to have a list about half way through the season?
Is Crameri such a god of football they can't live without him? :huh

The bookies still have us equal 5th favourite for the flag behind the Hawks, Swans, Dockers and Cats.
Hawks favoured to go back to back

HAWTHORN is tipped to claim back-to-back premierships in 2014 by TAB Sportsbet, starting the year as favourites ahead of runner-up Fremantle and the Sydney Swans.
The Hawks are $4.50 to win their third premiership under coach Alastair Clarkson, with Buddy Franklin's move to the Harbour City thrusting the Swans into equal second along with the Dockers at $5.50.
Geelong is fourth in line at $7 and followed by Collingwood, Richmond and North Melbourne at $13.
The odds suggest a fight between Essendon, Carlton and West Coast for the final spot in the top eight, with all three clubs at $21 for the flag.
Adelaide ($26) is favoured ahead of arch rival Port Adelaide ($34) but not much is expected of Gold Coast or the Western Bulldogs ($101), Brisbane $126, Melbourne or Greater Western Sydney ($501).
Superstar Sun Gary Ablett is the early favourite to claim his third Brownlow Medal at $7, ahead of Crow Patrick Dangerfield, Docker Nathan Fyfe, Magpie Dane Swan and Bombers skipper Jobe Watson, who are all at $9.
Champion Geelong captain Joel Selwood is good value at $11 while Richmond's Trent Cotchin, Hawk Sam Mitchell and Collingwood's Scott Pendlebury round out the top 10 at $13.

lol, these people think we're morons. When was the last time a team went back to back ? It just doesn't happen yet we get the same predictions every year :banghead
-
Essendon 20/1 and Port 34/1 ? LMFAO ! How the hell does that work ? Have the bookies been sucked in by Bomber Thompson and old man Chapman talking up their chances ? You could offer me 100/1 for Essendon and I wouldn't take it.

I predict the Hawks to fall back this year as age hits their core playing group, Hodge, Mitchell, Lake, Sewell, Burgoyne might drop off too. And they have lost their main forward in Buddy who gave Roughhead space and opposition coaches headaches. Of all the recent clubs to win one, I reckon the Hawks are the least likely to go back to back, followed by Sydney. Geelong was always dangerous, Collingwood could have, Sydney are just always competitive, but they were lucky. Even West Coast 2006 were more likely but for Ben Cousins party tricks.
This year they are probably hoping McEvoy takes the ruck and releases Hale to go forward to create space for Roughhead. As an opposition coach I'm less worried by that.

Mcevoy iirc is a poo ruckman
