He needs to plan the next step without Wayne Campbell.

I've merged your thread EEA with sabartooth's.
Confirmed in the Age article in the OP.

Remember where you come from Cambo when you're directing the umps ;) ;D.
Umpires' new instructions:
1. You must pay a free kick to Richmond.
2. If it's not a free kick then see point 1.
;D
-
Maybe he will tell them to play jack a free when he is molested
-
Cue the blame Wayne Campbell for poor umpire decisions thread
-
This will please the Campbell bashers who think he is a cancer in our club
-
All favourtism jokes aside.
Campbo will be a great director of umpiring having been a smart player and having an understanding and perspective of the modern game, the ol' fella didn't have.
Plus he loves Richmond ;D

Is that why he wanted to leave Richmond when he was playing ?
-
Does the mean kicks will now only have to travel 5 metres for a mark to paid? Or 15 metres straight up in the air? Will we see players being awarded marks from their own kicks?
Tuck might've retired a year too early - could've broken all kinds of possession records and probably won the Brownlow.
-
Well that's the end of his coaching aspirations
-
wonder why he d want that craphouse job, surely life in clubland would be a whole lot more fun
-
I get the impression he's more interested in sports administration than coaching.

On another note , the Herald Sun report says that ironically Geischen installed Campbell as captain in his last year as coach of Richmond.
Is that right ? My recollection is that Frawley dumped Knights as skipper and replaced him with Campbell ?

Spot on
He went for (and didn't get) the Head of Footy job (eg the Dan Richardson job) at the Bulldogs earlier this year
-
Who is going to replace him??
-
Who is going to replace him??
TBH I wouldn't be surprised of they don't
He isn't involved in day to day coaching so no impact there. Occasionally was the runner on match day. Seeing HQ has cut the number of runners back to 1 that's covered as well
His job for the last 12 months has been putting together all facets of our VFL side; which was more admin than anything else. He was also heavily involved in working with the leadership group developing leadership programs within the club.
-
Fair enough
WP Ripper bloke he seems to be IMO
Could've left but didn't and loves the club
Just my opinion but I reckon him and Richo love the club more than a lot of flogs who have walked through punt road doors

He's been a bit of a special projects sort of guy the last couple of years.
Wasn't he involved in opposition analysis? Who will take on that role?

Nope wasn't involved in opposition analysis this season, hasn't been since mid last year from what I understand. Have had someone else doing that - a bloke called Nick Austin
From the RFC web-site
Manager – VFL Strategy & Learning Academy- Wayne Campbell
Opposition Analyst and Pro Scout - Nick Austin
