RICHMOND

2013 debutants: Three

What to expect in 2014:
Tall forward Liam McBean pushed for senior selection late last year before injury struck, but he should get his opportunity in 2014. Defender Kamdyn McIntosh is also ready physically and waiting in the wings ahead of his second season. Only two of the Tigers' six new recruits have not made their AFL debuts, with rookies Todd Banfield (Brisbane Lions), Anthony Miles (GWS) and Matt Thomas (Port Adelaide) earning second opportunities. Nathan Gordon, who was drafted to the Tigers' senior list, also played two games with the Sydney Swans in 2011 before he was delisted. Richmond's first pick in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft, Ben Lennon, is expected to make his debut early in 2014 with his kicking skills impressing on the track. Mature-age recruit Sam Lloyd is ready-made to play as a medium-sized forward and could debut after kicking 38 goals in 17 VFL games last season.

I reckon we ll see a fair amount of all of those names in pre season,  :shh..Not so sure McIntosh is ready to go, some solid form in VFL would enhance his chances,

I'm looking forward to seeing all our mature age recruits in action so I can better judge their potential to play this year. Hampsons obviously going to play. I'm guessing but Gordan and Lloyd would have to get first shot at a spot based on where they went in the draft and the fact they are ready made body wise.

The most interesting for mine is our rookies. All of them have plenty of upside but plenty of downside too. How the club develops and manages these players will make for interesting viewing.

I would be more than happy to not see Lennon until midyear and ensure he only comes in when he earns his spot like Tigger did. A.Edwards has the most to worry about for round one.

Gordon and Miles could be early debut players IMHO. Hearing both are going ok just at the moment in training. We also have a few kids who will debut this year with plenty of ability ie. McBean, McIntosh and Lennon just to name 3.

I was just thinking this when I looked at our rookie list today. Williams is one I am interested in seeing. He may not play this year but from what I've heard he's got skillz.

shouldnt it be. with so many mature recruits who should debut.  ffs hampson, petterd promoted, gordon, lloyd, banfield, miles and thomas. arent they expecting games out of the lot of em at some stage. you take mature players for one reason it aint hard to work out.
