A worthy choice but it's pity in 2014 that we still need a representative of a foreign head of state rather than have our own head of state :facepalm.

Is that son of a bitch still floating about?

:huh
The Australian military obeys the orders of its political masters. Cosgrove was interviewed once about the Iraq War and admitted he had mixed feelings about it including being critical of the handling of the post-Saddam period. Blame Howard for following his mate Bush and Cheney on a wild goose chase for non-existent WMDs. Cosgrove on the other hand was directly responsible for East Timor which was a positive success.

wasn't that successful. we are currently having to fight East Timor in the international court to pillage their gas reserves and had to resort to using our spies for industrial espionage on behalf of a large oil company.
We didnt quite get what we wanted out that one either, so it seems.

Mt
The real political masters are the yanks (oil companies have some power too /tinhat) not our pollies.
To blindly support them is unwise IMO.
We could of defeated japs without them http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brisbane_Line :clapping
