l went to watch the next generation but was very disappointed.
As for the current generation l can't comment because l have seen nor heard anything apart from the result.
l really don't think l need to watch it because l seen the same ugly stuff as normal but will force myself but l'm happy RFC have won. It will stop the insults & abuse l cop being a supporter for the another week ;D

l went to watch the next generation but was very disappointed
A lot of kids play better at senior level. Probably easier to play next to cotchin deledio Martin than in the vfl side
They deserve a chance before being discarded

& you are so correct. All players can play top football otherwise they would not be drafted in the 1st place. l'm a strong believer in what you posted & some of those players need to be given a chance in place of those who fail to deliver. Lennon is one who l see has the gift. he had the ball alot today but others undone his work. They undone themselves with over use of the handball & seem slow at getting rid of the ball. They don't launch themselves & have no high intensity at all

It's too late for these blokes now.
There's no hope for any poor bastard in our system for 3 years or more, the club most certainly has ruined there footy careers. Local club footy for these blokes now.

It's picking up momentum, BJ's driving, so GET ON BOARD

Finals.

Is it mathematically possible? We'd have to win everything right?
-
Is it mathematically possible? We'd have to win everything right?
It's mathematically possible as well that I will have sex with my wife every night for the next 10 days
Will it happen though? Negative
-
Definitely possible, I did a ladder predictor and with us winning every game we were in.
I reckon we could probably drop one more maximum and then would need results and a percentage kick.
Have Sydney week before finals so they may rest some, Essendon and Adelaide away the other tough ones.
If we knock off West Coast over there next round then it will get interesting.
-
Is it mathematically possible? We'd have to win everything right?
Yes if we were to win all our remaining games and other results went our way but the likelihood of that happening is zero!
Rich: WCE, GWS, Ess, Adel, St K, Syd
Coll: Adel, Port, WCE, Bris, GWS, Haw
Ess: WB, Syd, Rich, WCE, GC, Carl
GC: Bris, St K, Carl, Port, Ess, WCE
Adel: Coll, WCE, Bris, Rich, North, St K
That would leave all five clubs on 12 wins with two taking spots #7 & #8 in the finals. The AFL would love it.
The reality though is we'll win 2-3 of our remaining matches and finish with 8-9 wins in 11th-12th spot with pick 7 or 8 in the draft :-\.
-
We're coming 9th again
The downhill skiers coming 9th again
With nothing at stake
we start to rack up wins
To stop the rattling tins
but when still a chance we'll poo our pants
take fright , take flight and cringe
Like the Tigers of Late
We'll seal our own fate
and get a - HEAD of OURSELVES!
from coming 9th again
-
We won't beat Essendon.
We may beat WCE and then knock off GWS, the media will start to talk up the serious chance of us making it if we get over the Bombers. It'll be a big game and the Bombers will be up for it.
-
U sure
-
finals is out. :'(

It will for me though, soz

The Run Home: Matt Windley predicts every club’s finish to the AFL season
Herald-Sun
July 16, 2014
12. RICHMOND
24pts 100.1%
R18: West Coast (Patersons) W
R19: GWS (MCG) W
R20: Essendon (MCG) L
R21: Adelaide (Adelaide Oval) L
R22: St Kilda (MCG) W
R23: Sydney (ANZ) L
Matt says:
Surely not? Richmond is daring to tease its fans once more, having defeated the previously rampaging Port Adelaide at the weekend. And a win in Perth against West Coast will only heighten the obscure belief that the Tigers can make a late run at the eight. It’s not the most daunting of runs home for the Tigers — outside of a trip to Sydney in Round 23 — but Damien Hardwick’s men will have to win their next five games and hope for an extraordinary fall from grace by each of the Bombers, Magpies, Suns and Crows to have any chance of making it in.

I did the ladder predictor with us winning every game and how I thought other results would go and the best I could get was.....................9th!!! :banghead :banghead
-
The cows are so overrated. We will flog them and West Cokes on their home ground and if we play like we did against Poort, we are a chance to win every game and Sydney will prob rest a few and throw the last game to us anyway.
I think we will beat Essendope. They lost to St Kilda. They're sheet
-
err I thought they smashed the saints

No they did not. They got done by the saints and melbourne

Someone just mixed up the party drugs with the PEDs before those games.

Any dreams of the Tiges going on a late run and miraculously sneaking into the finals went up with smoke tonight with Essendon winning.

Who would want to be a sports psychologist working with the Tigers? It wouldn’t surprise me to see Richmond come home with a wet sail, but that would only frustrate their fans. Once again a mid-season lapse has cost the Tigers. The last six rounds should be about coach Damien Hardwick establishing the game style that consistently works best for his group - that template was on show during the victory over Port Adelaide last week.

It wasn't a mid season lapse but the losses up front to the Bulldogs, Melbourne and Gold Coast which cost us bad

Just one more win against Adelaide ( spooky that our 7th win in a row back in 1995 was against the crows) and there will be a stampede of people trying to get on the Tiger Train.
Just off topic for a sec ....very concerned over the welfare of some of our posters...haven't heard boo from them for a while.

Gerks, Coach.

Hardly critically natured blokes, or ones who we're putting the boots into the club
-
Fleabag
Unplugged
Etc etc

Get on early to enjoy the win against Adelaide with plenty of time to crash and burn when we lose to St Kilda
-
Gerks, Coach.
Coach has been around in a different form.
wtf happened to gerks?
-
Gerks had enough of the loonies so he defected to big footy. :lol
I miss the great man.

U blokes areworse than aAdam Goode's

nothings changed for me.
still a middling side witha lot of ordinary players. but hey middling sides have ordinary players.
ive had a bust weekend and have only watched a replay tonight.
was a good game to watch cant say that much lately. didnt see anythjing that says we have a top 4 side in the making. to become a good top 4 side we have yrs of building to do.
the concern remains these wins will mean no hard decisions will be made again.
i dont are if we scrape into finals or not, we need to make a fair few hard calls at the end of the yr and if they fail to do this i for one will give em the flick.
finals or not im still hoping for at a minimum 9 or 10 changes to our overall list at seasons end.
on the game i thought essendon did more to lose the game than we did to win it. still it was a good game to watch and we had a real go all night.
-
The win was fantastic but lets take the emotion out of it, and the fact we beat a bunch of drug pigs, the season has been a waste thus far and by no means a success
Make finals and we may have a chance to redeem ourselves, but the club is still a middle of the road club and a few injuries away from a repeat of our early season form.
if you ask me our culture is still up the poo if our training standards were let to be as poor as what they are all saying.
Get that right and make consistent finals campaigns and we may be finally arrived.

Don't get your hopes up about anything that way you will never be disappointed. :huh3

I'm right into it mate no point watching the season with no hope because it will just be a boring grind for the rest of the year, just taking the mickey out of something that could (shouldn't) happen. Would be disastrous

Lot of sorry people around that didn't get on board

Richmond Tigers bare their teeth in battle to reach AFL finals
Peter Rolfe
Herald-Sun
August 30, 2014
THE claws are out. Tigers fans are hoping their boys can rip the Swans apart today as they march towards September glory.
The yellow-and-black army will descend on Sydney determined to extend their extraordinary winning streak against all odds.
On the back of eight straight victories, Richmond will take Tigerland to Sydney’s ANZ Stadium, hoping to beat the Swans and qualify for the finals in consecutive seasons for the first time in almost 40 years.
Bev Stowe, 77, is as tragic a Tigers fan as you will find.
“They’re my life,’’ she said.
For almost 60 years the Wyndham Vale woman has dedicated her life to passionately following Richmond, her home filled with all things yellow and black, from flags, photos and footballs to teddy bears, dolls and player autographs.
“They’ve got me through good times and bad,’’ Bev said.
Duffy the cavoodle is Richmond’s very own Tiger-dog.
Owner Jill Craig is such a passionate Tigers fan she also made her beloved pooch a paid-up and proud official pet member of the Richmond Football Club.
“I love the Tigers because they represent everything that our suburb is — tough, colourful, gritty,’’ Jill said.
At the height of Richmond’s 1970s glory years Dorothy Treseder, now 81, knitted her son, Peter, a whopping 10m yellow-and-black scarf to make her Tigers love a family affair.
Tonight, mother and son will wrap the scarf around themselves to cheer on their team along with Peter’s 22-year-old daughter, Chelsea, who has inherited the family’s Richmond passion.
“When I was in the Richmond Cheer Squad it could be worn by eight people to keep warm,’’ Peter said.
Steve Fraser was born into a Tigers family in Richmond 63 years ago, raised seven kids wrapped in yellow and black and turned the family car into a Tigers chariot.
“You’ve always got people jumping on the Richmond bandwagon but when we lose most people take their scarves off,’’ he said. “But I’ve got to drive this Tigers car around town win, lose or draw.”
