Title: Upside to losing games?
Post by: Judge Roughneck on April 27, 2014, 06:51:33 PM
Draft picks ?

New coach / selection panel?

Grigg/Chaplin/petard types dropped?

Lennon/McBean/helbig types getting games?

Senior players helping the reserves?

Bandwagon fans jumping off?

No ninth?

reckon the most important one is if it happens. the club  is forced to recognise the list is not good enough and we must continue to build and complete the job that we started.

Yes

Hardwick topping up is crazy similar to Wallace topping up

The young guns are all stagnating, Cotch, Dusty etc. these guys should be able to step up and cover a few spuds, even Hawthorn have a few spuds in their team (Cheney, Puopolo)

Ease of getting out of the car park as the year progresses
Less supporters turn up to Cocktail party in 2 weeks time

Ignoring about half a dozen club phone calls on FTF funding, raffle tickets and other fundraising activities and then finally answering the phone to tell them what I pay for my membership how long I have been a member and telling them other than that I aint paying for anything more than my coterie membership and reserved seat because its time that all things I have invested in the club need to reap a substantial reward.

One final game in 12 years and losing to a side that failed to qualify is by no means not enough.
The bandwagon is falling apart and with each rebuild there may be less and less who jump off over time given many bona fide long term members are getting on given our success from 67-80.

Maybe then the club might move their kolo to do something sustainable.

We don't have to change our conversation pattern.
