My thought is that this poll is a touch premature in round 6.

Blight will never coach again. The only candidates I can see at this stage would be Voss, Thompson, Ling and Knights.

I hope you voted for number 3 then

Cameron Ling with a long-term succession plan involving Luke Hodge.

I didn't vote in your asinine poll.

Need an experienced coach with a strong BG. Bomber is ideal but I don't think he's interested anymore.

I've got $7.60 in my wallet at the moment which I'm happy to chuck in for Bomber. Club already has milked my bank account on memberships.

Bring back T shirt Tommy Hafey.

Even from his sick bed he'd tell them to move the ball on quickly and kick it long……... :clapping

Bomber Thompson throw the kitchen sink and everything else at him.
Ling is untried. Will end in disaster.
Next coach has to be senior having done the job before still relatively young with rebuilding and premiership success under his tenure. That is the caveat otherwise we will flutter and inevitably fall to ground with a thud like a feather on a windy day.

This. Can't guarantee Ling would end in disaster but if we were to empty the coffers to pay out Hardwick and buy someone new it would have to be on someone with runs on the board like Bomber. Much like Freo did. No disrespect to Dimma but he's not going to win us a flag.

How often do premiership coaches win more at other clubs? Doesn't happen

Leigh Matthews, Mick Malthouse, David Parkin, Allan Jeans, Ron Barassi.
Some of them within the last 10 or so years. If a club like Geelong who always had a bridesmaid tag till 2007 and still be a powerhouse then that is the person you want to lead a poo house culture basket case on and off field like us.

Your funny Phil. You know Bomber is the coach. Just like Sheeds in 99 when he was still young enough to reinvent himself and get the most out of his team. Whoever in the footy dept gave Dimma that 2 yr extension should be hung, drawn, quartered, eighth, sixteenth and thirty seconded.

Have you seen how Essendon are travelling lately? They lost to the saints last week and had a 42 point turnaround vs Collingwood. Bomber Thompson has won 2 flags at Geelong and there's no chance he'd win one at Richmond if he was to become our coach, it just doesn't happen nowadays

Look at the culture of deceit he has had to work with courtesy of Hirdy. At least the only deceit he has to work with here is the players parading as footballers, the footy department telling the fans everything is AOK and the coach telling us we are better than last year a season we participated in finals for the third time in 32 seasons. Righto.

Nobody the club will never get a proven gun, never pay for it.
But the club will ask us on Fraudulent Tiger Farce to dig deep and get bargain basement coaches to coach bargain players. Grigg, Houli, Hampson.

They took onus 4 years ago once the 2009 disaster was over and said there will be pain but we will take no short cuts and leave no stone unturned. 3-0-75.

Failed on all of my point and probably all 3 of his 3 points.

Bargain Basement Blair Hartley.
Danny Dumby Daly.
Dimma Dumma Hardwick.

I tell ya Benny Gale gets off lightly for the 3-0-75 IMHO. Failed miserably on 2 of the 3 criteria and the one they made was on the back of supporter contributions ... dear oh dear.

While 64K members is a fail, its a pretty damn good fail starting at 35K.
So they got 1 0 64 at least they had a plan.  In the long run 0 and 64K will lead to more finals.

Anyone who set goals like that and only achieved that level of success would be in serious trouble in most corporate jobs. Imagine being the boss of big company going up to your board of directors and saying ... sorry folks didnt succeed ..but poo I had a good plan  :lol

I want the Bananas in Pajamas, at least their game plan will be simple enough for footballers to understand and they can't do much worse.

In 1970 North was the only League club without a flag. Allen Aylett was pres and had a 5 yr plan to win a flag. By 1974 they made a GF and lost to us and one year later they realised their dream. According to Barassi a few of the board members put their houses on the line to get the best players Australia wide and those brought by the 10 year rule to induce them with cash.

Whilst this aint the 70's our plans turn to failure because

1. We have no one with clear direction.
2. We have no superstar coach.
3. We have no superstar players just blokes who can be superstars but will retire as very good players at best, memo Knighter, Campbell, Richo etc cult figures in recent years.
