Great to see Lennon in and Griffiths back. Lets hope they go out and smash the demons in honour of Tommy. Nothing but a 100 per cent committed performance will be tolerated.

Agree it makes little sense

Was wondering if they are just waiting until round 11 to promote him for the rest of the season

 :-\

Great to see Lennon get a go though

Lennon and Griff are good ins, Foley ahead of Miles just makes no sense to me.

I've said this a couple of times before.  They can elevate Miles now through the King LTI.  When King comes back he will be demoted but as long as we haven't elevated another rookie after round 11, we can re-elevate Miles immediately.  So by not elevating a rookie now of any kind (Darrou or Banfield) we lose out the ability to have given a chance to two rookies, assuming they choose to elevate Miles after round 11.

Well these are probably the best changes we have seen all season IMO.

PLAY Lennon immediately and sub Edwards.....

I would think so. If he became an integral part of the team and we were pushing finals and had to stop playing because Kingy was back that would be a disaster.

Pretty sure you have to elevate at round 11. Don't think you can bank that upgrade.

Dumma softy showed his hand when he dropped a kid on the back of a 9 tackle game. Priorities completely arse about.

I'm pretty sure the rule states round 11 ONWARDS. Stand corrected though.

It's a good team.  The Foley thing is debatable but putting Lennon and Big Griff is a good selection. It's last roll of the dice time for Foley.

Interesting selections....pity miles didn't get a gig, however I have noticed some of nathans zip that he had has returned at least in the twos, just maybe we will see a bit of the old Nathan which would be huge for us....fingers crossed

Why would we even consider playing King again this season? So no need to worry about when we elevate Miles. He just takes Kings spot for the remainder of the year. Pretty simple really.
I'm not one for big statements but if they don't elevate this kid soon I'm not turning up.
He has done more than enough for the opportunity to be elevated onto the senior list. We got an unfortunate injury which you would think would make it a no brainwr yet still no elevation.  He was the most impressive in the pre-season out of the rookies but has had to earn his chance and has done so better than any rookie we have had.
Can anyone think of any reason why this kid hasn't been elevated since King went down?
Just blatant stupidity or pigheadedness! I blame Dimma because if I had a bloke smashing the door down in the twos when I'm 2 and 5 playing in a position that we have struggled in, I would demand to have this kid in my side. He is the senior coach and should have made this happen!
Glad to see Lennon in, now FFS let the kid play. No sub for at least 4 games.

It's Richmond we don't do things that we should.
Foley's three year contract supersedes the need, want and desire to play a kid that should be playing and without playing a senior game is better than at least 6-8 selected every week. :banghead

i can see no reason why foley couldnt come into the team  as well as miles griffiths and lennon. it would only have taken the dropping of one other hack underperformer. ffs we are 2 and 5 you would think we were 5 and 2.

personally id be happy this week to see it go
fb/ morris - chaplin - rance
hb/ conca - astbury - vlastuin.

c/  deledio - cotchin - ellis
r/ hampson - jackson - miles

hf/ martin - vickery - lennon
ff/ a edwards - riewoldt - lloyd

int/ griffiths - foley - grigg - mcdonough.

ins - miles, lennon, griffiths, foley
out - houli, gordon, newman, s edwards.

it was him or houli i figured grigg would at least provide plenty of run from the bench.  as it is theres still 4 or 5 others id drop if we had good options.
drop grigg play houli either way we are stuck with one of them in fact the way the club is we are stuck with both.

Yeah this kid is proving to be very handy for them. More than just a forward pocket, he's popping up everywhere now. We need to keep a close eye on him. Who would we put on him?

How can the squad be cut?  There was no excess in the squad to get cut. It's not a Sunday game with an extended bench.
Have you got a source?

Need to watch Vince and Tyson this week. They've been pretty good lately. If we don't pay them respect , along with Jones , I can see them causing us some problems
