Yep. With Softwick in charge, these threads are pointless really.
-
Not playing this game anymore
Ins: FAVOURITES
Outs: NON FAVOURITES
That's how we roll
-
But we can't afford to sack te coach wp?
-
ELLIS & SHANE EDWARDS BOTH OMITTED FOR THE YEAR
-
But we can't afford to sack te coach wp?
What are you on about now?
This thread is about changes for next week games not sacking the coach. there's a 55 page thread on that topic
I have never said they can't afford it, all I have ever said IMO they won't sack him so why keep banging on about it. It ain't gonna happen.
-
Who cares I reckon we should play guess the crowd or guess the 2015 membership total. :help
-
If one of Jackson, Grigg, Newman is 'fit' next week then I think Dea would be the first to go.
I hope Ellis gets dropped into the VFL to be honest but that won't happen.
But what I really want is Deledio, Morris, Cotchin to get their respective injuries fixed up for the preseason
-

Next week crowd. 28,430
Next years membership. 43,000.
-
Jackson, Newman, Grigg and Vickery rushed back in 8)
Crisis time. :lol
-
Shirley Hampson has to go
-
Hampson can't be dropped.
He took a mark and goaled.
-
McBean in
Probably A.Edwards out
-
OUT. Hampson, Ellis, S Edwards,
IN. Vickery, Jackson, Newman, Griffiths,
get the confidence going in this playing group with a 100 point win ;D
-
Out: kicking backwards
In: Kicking forwards
:banghead
-
Hampson can't be dropped.
He took a mark and goaled.
Yeh good point that will probably see him retain his spot for the rest of the year
-
A Edwards out
T Cahill In
:thumbsup
-
I think a great deal of thought and effort should be put into how our forward line is going to consistently kick winning scores. Our forward set up is horrible. And because our forwards don't exert pressure the opposition defenders waltz out of there and set up their plays
-
Are we missing Jake King?
:cheers
-
our team is just plain missing 1965
-
Still rekon we are looking better than any year under Spud.
Lot's of talent there just gotta find a big CHF (Jay Schulz would be handy ATM)
Get Astbury back next year and the backline is looking fine.
Cotch is carrying an injury, get it fixed now so he can have a full pre-season.
Might keep my membership after all.
:lol
-
Getting a gun CHF should be top of the hit parade for us
-
We might have one
We wouldn't know cause the young talls not been given a chance
-
If we can bring in a key forward and my mail if there are a few avail with a top four pick likely then it will round off our team beutifully , we have a decent defense and midfield , reload at draft time then look out :shh
-
Hardwick is saying that he is not going to play youth for the sake of it, that he is not going to allow players to have surgery prior to season end and is going to play his strongest team each week. So what this in reality means he will bring in Grigg and Vickery and will drop anyone who is not his favourite. Hardwick will do his best to maximize our chance of losing every week by failing to drop the underperformers.

The Barometer: Round 15
Herald-Sun
23 June 2014
RICHMOND
ON THE BLOCK: Matt Dea could be sent back to the VFL after being subbed out of Friday night’s game, Aaron Edwards took a speccie but didn’t offer much else while Shaun Hampson, Dylan Grimes, Matt Thomas and Jake Batchelor could all be on shaky ground.
ON THE CUSP: Richmond’s VFL side suffered a 10-goal loss to North Ballarat but there were some positives in the form of Ben Lennon, Brad Helbig and Mat Arnot. Ruckman Orren Stephenson kicked three goals.
AL PATON’S FORECAST: The effort was there against the Swans and the Tigers actually played their preferred style for about a quarter. But it was another chance gone begging. The immediate future looks more promising with matches against St Kilda and Brisbane in the next fortnight, but the coaches must carefully consider the question of what they want to achieve for the rest of the year. Damien Hardwick says he will be playing to win, and so he should, but it’s possible to keep one eye on the future at the same time. How much do the Tigers gain by playing Aaron Edwards or Matt Thomas when the likes of Brad Helbig, Matt Arnot and Brett O’Hanlon are running around in the VFL? Their form has been OK, so give them a crack and use the last nine games to see what they can do.

Richmond is hopeful experienced duo Chris Newman and Daniel Jackson will be available for this Saturday’s clash with St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.
Tiger key forward Ty Vickery is available for selection, after serving a two-match suspension for striking.

RICHMOND
Club champion Dan Jackson is pushing to play his first game since round 11 after recovering from a hip flexor injury. The experienced midfielder could make an immediate return to the senior team against St Kilda on Saturday if he gets through training this week and proves his fitness. Former captain Chris Newman is also in the mix to return after missing one match with a minor groin injury. After being omitted in round 14, young midfielder Ben Lennon pushed his case for a recall in the VFL and was impressive with 24 possessions, five clearances and a goal. The most impressive performance, however, came from ruckman Orren Stephenson, who had 44 hit-outs and three goals against North Ballarat. Tall forward Ty Vickery has served his two-match suspension for striking and is available for selection.
