The AFL has identified four key factors for the fall in Victorian attendances this season.
In short, it blames its own fixture, complex ticketing, poor performances by Richmond, Carlton and St Kilda and fan fatigue over the Essendon drug scandal and its messy fallout.

Every stuffen melb club is down except Melbourne, which arguably couldn't get any worse. The tigers will be back in numbers , starting this week, 35,000 wouldn't at all surprise if nice weather :shh

In my case, forget about the fixture and complex ticketing, they are NON-ISSUES. The poor performance of Richmond is of course a huge reason why I haven't attended a match since the Dreamtime game: As is the continuing frustrating wait for a huge raft of Essendon players to be rightfully given lengthy suspensions for knowingly trying to cheat their way towards success by injecting illegal substances into their bodies. Another huge factor, which the AFL has been powerless to address is the continuing congestion of the game by Lyon, Roos and others which is ruining the game as a spectacle for me.

I know we have banged on about this before RR but I refuse to watch Dockers dees or swans games on tv

How is that graph accurate? It has us with less mcg crowds than Carltank and the other muppets in 2013 which wasn't the case

Our Etihad crowds slightly up
