Has Rance missed too much?
-
I would hope to dear god that at the very least Rance is in the 40 man squad. If they don't include Rance in the 40 man squad at the very least then Ablett should be ineligible as well.

Wednesday special: All Australian contenders
Nathan Schmook
afl.com.au
August 20, 2014
RICHMOND
Trent Cotchin An All Australian in 2012, Cotchin hasn't been as damaging as he was when he finished equal second in the Brownlow Medal, but he has produced some fine performances through the Tigers' resurgence. His leadership has grown and he could factor in the 40-man squad, with midfield places at a premium.
Dustin Martin The dynamic midfielder must be considered for his first All Australian jumper on the strength of his form in the second half of the season. The 23-year-old, who could also win his first club best and fairest, could fill a spot in the forward line, having kicked multiple goals in seven games for a tally of 26.
Alex Rance Unlucky to miss the 40-man squad in 2013, the key defender could make the grade this season. Since returning from a foot injury in round seven, the 24-year-old has been one of the best-performed backmen in the competition, providing valuable rebound from defence (ranked No.2 at the club).

Great achievement for Ellis, hopefully it motivates him to keep striving to get there.
-
I reckon Ellis has arrived, the question is whether he can achieve consistency for an entire season and then just add stuff each year.
Reckon Brandon is up there with the best decision makers when he has possession of the ball.
He stills is a bit tentative at times when the ball is in dispute but this is improving.
That tackle on Goodes will give him enormous confidence of the impact nailers the one per centers.

Is Cotch a bit stiff not getting into that squad? I think he is. Is judged harshly I recon.
Will poll well in the Brownlow.
-
Cotch had a better year than Ellis I'd say, so yes just on that basis.
-
yep judged very harshly - last 8 weeks have been elite - also had some good games early in the season
-
Cotch has about a 40% turnover rate
-
By foot
-
Not surprised most of his possessions are amongst a gang of opposition players or some tagger rooting his back
-
LOL or ripping his stuffing head off apparently in front of completely unconscious/oblivious umpires. They must have bets on how many players it takes to bring him down and cruel his disposal
-
Meh all well and good, got more important business to worry about these days - SO PUMPED !!!!!
-
Cos he ges tagged harder than any other player?
Righto.......
-
ellis gun.
Has improved each year unlike conca and newman who go backwards as they get older
-
Cos he ges tagged harder than any other player?
Righto.......
He doesn't?
When he doesn't get a hard tag his disposal is by and large very good - went through a bad patch the last season or so with his stupid dinky kicks but he seems to be ridding his game of that the past half season, definitely does it less now
-
ShEd was stiff to miss out. ;D
-
At least Dimma got named as Coach though
-
At least Dimma got named as Coach though
I heard he missed out because he took too long to elevate Miles.... :whistle
-
Dimmer told them he was a better coach than last year but they told him to stuff off
-
The AFL site has put Rance in their All-Australian side.
Back pocket: Alex Rance (Richmond)
One of the most contentious positions in the team was that of our third tall defender. Despite missing five games early in the season, Rance just got the nod in front of Adelaide best and fairest winner Daniel Talia. It was no coincidence that once Rance returned from a foot injury and regained his match fitness the Tigers started winning. He is versatile, rugged, and showed his elite qualities in the round 23 win over the Swans.

:lol :clapping

The AFL site has also put Dusty in their AA team on a HFF ...
Half-forward flank: Dustin Martin (Richmond)
The Tiger won a close call from Swan Luke Parker. On raw stats they're almost dead even Martin's 25.5 disposals, 27 goals and 17 goal assists to Parker's 26, 21 and 15. But it was Martin's game-breaking ability that shifted the vote his way. The 23-year-old was incredibly consistent in a rollercoaster Richmond season and kicked game-sealing goals in the final two rounds against Adelaide and the Swans.

Joke that Dusty didn't make it
-
Ranceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee........................ :gotigers
-
Well Done Alex Rance :thumbsup
A Grade player!
-
Just as a matter of interest; they had Paul Roos and Bomber Thompson on AFL360 the other night, and they each had to choose their 3 AA key defenders from a list of 6 possibles, which included Rance. They ummed and aahed a lot, but neither of them even mentioned his name. Pair of idiots.
-
Joke that Dusty didn't make it
Who's spot should he take?
-
