Aside: Our average points scored during our seven win streak is 95 which would have us up in the top 5.

and yet our ave score in the 9 games we have played against the top 8 sides is just 78.4. its even worse against the top 4 sides at a paltry ave of just 66.
ah those pesky stats we can make em read any old way we like.

We turned our season around starting with the swans. They did not thrash us and Buddy hit the scoreboard more accurately than he has ever done to get them over the line against us.
We were very competitive against Freo. Again, Ballantyne had a day out and was kicking them from 50m out to get them over the line.
So our efforts against two of the top four have been very good. We also beat Port, but that doesn't support you skewed view of us so you don't mention them.

Would have got away with it too if it wasn't for those pesky stats

what skewed view. the stats speak for themselves.  against all top 8 sides which includes port which was our biggest score for the yr we average just 78.4 points.  sheesh take that port stat out and how bad would it be.

against the top 4 sides we average just 66 points per game.  of course it includes sydney hawrhorn freo and geelong.the best score we managed against a top 4 side was 88 points.

isnt this thread about hitting the scoreboard and fwd line stats.
the simple fact  yes fact,  is against top 4 sides we have been abysmal in this area.  if we could have kicked a few more goals we may have won a game or two against them.
against top 8 sides overall we have been poor as well when it comes to hitting the scoreboard.

i would have thought you would be sick and tired of SKEWED  articles and feel good pieces by by now. Which is exactly what the op is. taking a sml sample of anything  skews the reality. i gave you a pretty good example of it.

what my stats teell me is we have struggled to kick a score against the better sides in the main. that is a very even and logical conclusion wouldnt you say.
