Tiger Martin hamstrung for St Kilda clash

A HAMSTRING injury has seen Richmond midfielder Dustin Martin withdrawn from the Tigers' side to face St Kilda on Sunday at the MCG.
The 23-year-old sustained the injury during last Saturday night's win over Adelaide, with the club confirming on Saturday the hamstring strain is a minor one.
Martin played out the game against the Crows, kicking the sealer in the dying minutes of the 10-point win, and also managed to train during the week.
The Tigers are unsure at this stage if he will be available for next week's final game of the home and away season against the Sydney Swans, meaning his season may be over unless the club makes finals.

just leave him in the square all game vs swanns
-
If its that bad leave him out for the next two, I would hate to see him tear it ala Richo or Conca!!
-
Knowing the club the "minor" strain could be anything but. Please rest dusty. I would rather the clib finish 9th then force him onto the ground vs swans and destroy him forever.
-
keep him out for the next two and see what happens. no point making it worse.
-
The mail is it's minor , back for last. Game :shh

And all three weren't hanging off either arm! So he is definitely ready to go!

Doc Larkins' view:
The Tigers will benefit from the return of Dustin Martin for this must-win clash.
Martin had a week off as a precaution with low-grade hamstring tightness.
He had the hamstring scanned and there was no significant damage shown but the Tigers took the opportunity to give him a rest and he is expected to train and be available to play.

Dustin Martin moves well at Richmond training, on track to face Sydney at ANZ Stadium
Glenn McFarlane
Herald-Sun
August 27, 2014
RICHMOND star Dustin Martin took a significant step towards playing in Saturday’s “finals or bust” encounter against Sydney with a strong individual session at Punt Rd Oval on Tuesday.
While the rest of the team was on the track for barely 10 minutes, Martin and Ty Vickery were given a solid 40-minute skills and running workout.
Martin, who missed his first game for the season last Sunday because of hamstring soreness, gave all the signs of being fit to play in the clash against Swans at ANZ Stadium as long as he gets through Thursday’s main session.
He looked to be comfortable in drilling the ball 50m in some of his kicking work with Vickery and assistant coach Max Bailey.
His return would mean the Tigers have close to a full-strength line-up to tackle the premiership favourite with only Dan Jackson (suspension) unavailable from their best 22.
