Can Vickery late change ? Wouldnt be surprised if its a tactic to confuse the swans and prepare them for a 2 tall fwd line instead of 3.

Watch for Vickery as an emergency to come in on Sat. Have it on reasonable authority. Either that or I've been given Bojos mail by mistake

Gordon the super sub ;)
Because we need Griggs magic for 4 quarters

as if the club flirting with vickery's selection has any merit ::)
Swans are gonna be at their wits end with that curve ball.
stuff, they make me laugh :lol

I just hope Vickery's emotional cognitive therapy has worked wonders after being so upset for belting Cox. That aaaand he manages not to play like a bag of schyte for once in his life
-
If we can't beat the swans without their 1st choice ruck and some rookie replacing him, no fatty Kennedy and no Mglynn then we will never beat them. Also they'll late change Tippet or Buddy. and they will be trying to not get injured..
On paper we should win comfortably
-
Mail is Dusty in.

Still not sure about Gordon....I hope he kicks a bag but with the pressure the Swans apply and him being as slow as he is, he could come undone... :-\

Quick in straight line leg speed; slow in thought and thus decision making.
-
Gordon is quick and covers more ground than anyone on the list.
WAT is confusing him with Lloyd, who looks like he is stuck in quicksand.
-
Who the stuff is Sam Naismith?
Big Ivan to be BOG and kick 5.
We are home, RFCO how can we get tickets for next week?

Not surprising Dusty for Lennon is the only change but I'm glad we are keeping with a settled side that has been winning. No way should we bring in Vickery who hasn't played for 4 weeks.

Sydneys selections have opened the door a little bit. I didn't think we could beat a full strength Swans but they have given us a chance. Are we good enough to take it is the question?

Ivan needs to use his experience and run the rookie off his feet linking up with our mids as well as pushing forward and testing the rookie's defensive game.

Interesting no Kennedy and no McGlynn. As Pyke is out Maric has to completely dominate the ruck if we are to have any chance of success.

I can't agree with you on this one MT. As I predicted, Sydney have not only gone with Buddy, Tippett, Goodes and Reid, but they've also brought in a giant 205cm ruckman to really stretch our defence. If we had Vickery-Griffiths and Maric as a three-way ruck combination it would allow us to have one always drifting back to help cover our defence, which is going to be under siege with marking options, and one going forward to take some heat off jack. And all we'd have to give up to provide this scenario is Grigg, who brings ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to the team. I'm glad Vickery is an emergency, and I'm still hoping there's a late change.

Is the Xman injured?
Still waiting on confirmation that Dusty is playing
-
Swans midfield will be ruck roving to Maric. They are a smart group. Have to be careful here.
-
the problem is the syd middle run consistently both ways
cotchin will. will the rest?
-
You have to wonder if the roles were reversed, would Pike, McGlynn and Joey be playing?

+1 on this. They will go all out and try and shark Maric's taps. But milo and Cotchin should have this covered since Kennedy is out.

I disagree on your idea only because I don't think Vickery is much of a contested mark. Not to mention he doesn't always run both ways. The team has been winning well without him and as mentioned earlier I think to keep this winning core together is our best shot at beating Sydney.

i would of thought having vickery + maric in the ruck
would be a tempting prospect with a rookie swans ruck
vickery, without dropping griffendorf

Only light sprinkles atm and looking at last nights league game the ground is in pretty good nick despite the recent heavy rain.
The forecast for tomorrow is cold, possibly hot, chance of showers or not.. ;D being serious, if there will be any showers they expect them to be isolated along the coast.

I hope Big Tyrone gets a late call up. We need more goal kicking power against such a good side. He has kicked 13 goals in his last 6 games as opposed to Griffiths 5 in his last 6 games.
To win this game we need to kick over 15 goals, we know they will be around that mark..

Is this a better team than the team that only just lost in round 14 to the Swans?
Out Thomas, Hampson, Dea, A.Edwards
In Griffiths, Grigg, Newman, Gordon.
I think it is slightly.
Is this a better Sydney team that R14
Out Laidler, Kennedy, Pyke, Derickx, B.Jack, Z.Jones, Bird
In Tippet, Towers, Naismith, Rohan, Hannebery, T.Mitchell, Biggs
Its close, just not sure of some of the more unknown players for Syd.
For me it says it should be a close game as we should of won that last time if we took our chances.
:gotigers and yes I have tipped them

Maybe Vickery will be added and Gordon withdrawn.
Thoughts?

Nar, just think we need to score more. Think what you like about Vickory, he hits the scoreboard.
He may go missing for big portions of the game but can also kick mulitable goals quickly. He is more important to our side than a few give him credit for, IMO of course.
-
Drop the terd leave Gordo alone
-
We can't afford Vickery to go missing for chunks of the game, pure and simple. He needs to be switched on all the time or we will pay for any muff ups against this lot.
-
We can't afford Vickery to go missing for chunks of the game, pure and simple. He needs to be switched on all the time or we will pay for any muff ups against this lot.
Then we are in trouble potentially having Vickery and Griffiths in the same side.
Griffith averages 7 touches a game over his wonderful career. :shh

Peeing down and they want to bring in Vickery for 2 players we need in this type if weather. That logic

It's been such a long career too. In all those 33 games he has been played forward, then back in 2012, then ruck and forward. That would allow him to develop quickly.....
If you watch his last few games, you'd be blind if you could not see the improvement in him. Confidence is growing. Is quickly catching Vickery who is a year older without the injury problems Griff had when he first came over.
I actually think to beat Sydney we need both to play and for both to play well
-
Griff is playing good footy right now, so taking pot shots at him is just plain bullsh!t. He is mobile, he takes marks and kicks accurately and can send the ball in like a cruise missile. Ill have more of that np.
